Guys, I have rebuilt Windows 0.1.6 BGL Core distribution and reuploaded to GitHub releases:

It's built in release configuration, so no dependencies like vcruntime140D.dll etc.
Hopefully it would work fine!

Mineable coins are better than staking coins or yielding, farming tokens. Cost is needed to get mineable coins. The volume is falling and when it becomes flat together with a flat channel of price, it would be a confirmation of something big.

It does not make sense to FUD a small coin. Take dips on exchanges and wait for big news after a completion of accumulation.

Are there any minimum requirements for nodes to be included in the incentive program? Like it requires x amount of time that the node must be online in order to be randomly selected. Or peoples can run up their node just before the node picking time and get included in the incentive reward? which is unlikely the program run that way. I tried to seek any info about it on the website but can't find a clue.

Didn't know about that bounty program until now. Bookmarked it, lets see if I could clear my schedule ahead of time, and then try to contribute to Bitgesell. What's more rewarding to contribute to blockchain spaces and get an incentive. I believe it such a promising initiative to attract the cryptocurrency community especially developers to know or learn about Bitgesell.

Bitgesell is a mineable coin and the initiative from @EmmaWu can help this project. If it get accepted by Whattomine, and is listed on the renowned website for crypto miners, this project will catch more attention from miners.

Consequently, the total hashrate on Bitgesell network will increase, then makes it healthier. Mineable coins need miners and a big mining community will be a beginning of something good.

The developer is very active in developing and marketing BitGesell this is one of the things I like about this project, I'm still holding my BGL hoping something is going to happen before the end of this year, I recommend that developers launch an AMA or contact a marketplace and do a collaboration or strike a deal.

Unfortunately, I was unable to launch the Windows wallet. At first the system couldn't find the file vcruntime140D.dll. I installed the update for Visual Studio 2015, 2017 and 2019 (vc_redist.x86.exe and vc_redist.x64.exe), after restarting my PC. Now after running the app I get the following error:

I downloaded and installed the new version. Why does the client now work like this? I have an additional open cmd window. If I close it, my client closes as well. My OS Windows 10 Pro ver. 20H2.

We have prepared a new new BGL core distribution, version 0.1.6 for major operating systems.
This one is important: we have synced to the BTC code for up to April 2021 (most credits go
to our fellow dev Emeka, he did huge amount of work).
As BGL is a fully decentralized system: a check is built-in if it would be possible to enable Taproot 6-months before BTC,
The parameters for switch are set as following:

- If 80% of last 2016 blocks upgrade to this taproot-supporting version bit by using latest distribution before 15 June 2021,
  then taproot would be enabled approximately on 1 July 2021 (block 66000).

This event is interesting in several regards, in particular, we can treat it as some forward-production testing for bitcoin to see how it work out (on a lesser scale) but in real (BGL) mainnet.

In short, Taproot and Schnorr signatures provide:

I activated the PIN, overloaded the app, and tried many times to enter the wrong PIN. The system allowed me to do this an unlimited number of times. Maybe make a timeout after a certain number of failed attempts? Or completely block the application in order to prevent hackers from using the funds in case of theft? Otherwise, you can search for the correct PIN in a certain amount of time.

I know Binance give free listing but they break their reputation with SUSHI and the tweet from Changpeng Zao months ago in 2020. Recently they listed SHIBA and said it is because demand from the community.

Now the hashrate of the network is more than 70 TH/sec. Tell me, how many devices are currently mining BGL? I think this may be an approximate value. And which device is now the most profitable for mining the Keccak algorithm?

I totally agree this is one of the coin that has a potential right now, and it's only a matter right now before we are in a good situation, they just continue marketing this coin, they are on the top media and they have the support of some of the ranking members of the community, I believe Bitgesell will be push to the top by one big news, developers and community are working hard to get to the top
