Since the Bitgesell Facebook page is still under my management, I was offered a listing on the http://bitskrix.com by their marketing team. If the community wants BGL to be registered in this market, I'll go ahead and contact Emma.
Bitskrix currently still has a very small trading volume but it seems they are trying to be honest (no trading volume manipulation). Please check out their site and say something.

About the listing fee, they don't wanna be published but they really made a good offer (imo) and I'm sure Emma would agree if the BGL community is interested. I received the offer on 9 November and this offer is valid for 3 months.

Hi

nice to know you are managing the Facebook page. I sent you messages some time ago now. I'll send you PM to meet.

Right, so that's not possible since I'm still a newbie on this forum and you don't accept messages from newbies.
I've sent another message to the FB page...

Thanks!

Hi guys, new builds are available, mostly small cosmetic changes, some repackaging:
- included libdb statically linked for Ubuntu/Debian/OSX pkg;
- Ubuntu/Debian package comes in both console and Qt versions;
- icons fixes for MacOS X/Windows;
- text changes, etc.

These builds are last before new versions that would include BTC code sync. Please find the links below:

Hello!

Smiley We've updated our wallet!

We have implemented storage encryption with AES-GCM 256-bit (this is very strong encryption).

We also linked the domain: https://app.bglwallet.io

Hello!

We've updated our wallet: https://epexa.github.io/bitgesell-wallet-dist/

We switched from Bitgesell Explorer API to Bitaps API (this fixes the situation about outdated data).

We also launched a separate Bitgesell Node RPC for the wallet.

If you have launched our wallet before, please change Node RPC address: https://rpc.bglwallet.io

The tx contest is closed, but we're thinking about new one.

Hello!

We've updated our Bitgesell Wallet JS!  Smiley

You can use the build web version here:
https://epexa.github.io/bitgesell-wallet-dist/

We will publish a browser extension, desktop and mobile build versions later.

Our bonus wallet: bgl1qx4yjdtqvz5wczemcvz6nwlaewyyv629eglyem3

Hi guys

Cool! I've created a wallet and sent it its first BGL. Great job!

https://bgl.bitaps.com/bgl1qumcf9kuzld9n3nqxlufz3wl2ltd8ze5n25zcpa

As you've mentioned it does give an error. I've installed the extension you mentioned but still to no avail. The balance is not showing in the wallet, although it is showing as completed in the explorer.

Hello sloiz, nice to hear that you liked, thanks! Cheesy

Yes, such a bug exists in official Bitgesell Explorer API, we use it to get balance and list of transactions (this is needed to send a new transaction).

Emma and CoinMiningPool please check and fix this bug.

Example:
https://bitgesellexplorer.com/ext/getbalance/bgl1qqx2f5uwjvyd6hutps5788f56hxy8cylya39svk
https://bgl.bitaps.com/bgl1qqx2f5uwjvyd6hutps5788f56hxy8cylya39svk

Another example:
https://bitgesellexplorer.com/ext/getbalance/bgl1qumcf9kuzld9n3nqxlufz3wl2ltd8ze5n25zcpa
https://bgl.bitaps.com/bgl1qumcf9kuzld9n3nqxlufz3wl2ltd8ze5n25zcpa

The data does not match, it is outdated. I think this is something like caching...

In half a year from now, it would be first BGL's halving (of block reward) and we have a community wallet that acts as a community fund - projects that have some users, would be invested from there. I am also sure you had fun and got better understanding of how cryptocurrencies work and experience also has value.
Wishing you all the best.

Hello Emma, we have participated at the KickStart hackaton. Our team is HackaTigers. We have developed the BGL wallet, the react-native based application for android and ios. The repo on gitlab is https://gitlab.com/Chizhikov/kikstart-hack-frontend.

But the 4th position is not nice for us. We have completely done all points of the competition and demonstrated fully worked app. What do you think about that?

Hi Roman! Jury had checked your solution and it's very good. That's why I offered you to finish it and publish it, in this case I would raise the award to 5K USDT.

Hi dear BGL community!

Recently we have encountered blocks that were completely filled with transactions:
https://bitgesellexplorer.com/api/getblock?hash=000000000000028d2b66d6f07f227cbb0710efd27db1fa93b3325c848f55c083 (https://bgl.bitaps.com/32915)

reaching pretty close to the limit of 400K per block (due to SegWit part variability it's generally impossible to react exactly 400K).
This is a good point meaning that code changes match what we see in production and we also saw network handling the load and node mempools gathering broadcasted transactions (even if they weren't included in current block).

After next rewards (tomorrow), I am closing transaction contest (for now), thanks for participation (saw a only a few scripted transaction postings though).
If you have ideas how to motivate people transact on BGL, we can make a new incentive program or contest, feel free to share your thoughts!

Hi Emma

This is Kirill from Chainify team. We've developed a React Native app during the hackathon and custom scalable backend for the wallet.
Here is a link to the repository https://github.com/bitgesell-chainify. And prototype for the future wallet in marvelapp: https://marvelapp.com/prototype/26aebccg/screen/74305031

Here are the addresses for the reward:

I'm still guessing why you decided to use SHA3 Keccak for BGL? During hackathon, my biggest challenge was to adapt library to be able to run in React Native environment. I had to rewrite it and connect with crypto libs on RN side.

I have 2 possible answers for using different hash algo:

1. SHA3 is different, it makes Bitgesell more reliable for 51% attacks from industry miners (if their hardware doesn't support this algorithm). If so, it seems a good idea.

2. It creates an opportunity to developed decentralized bridge BGL => Chainlink => ETH => Node => BGL, and setup cause BGL transactions could be easily proofed in ETH smartcontracts.

I saw, you have pretty clear roadmap, but it's also seems promising to rewrite BGL using Cosmos SDK. I know, it sounds weird, but it opens great opportunities for DeFi usage in interconnection with other cryptocurrencies.

- SHA3 is primarily to differ from the BTC hardware (it's edge is too big over other mining gear now, but from the other side I wanted algorithm that had some mining infrastructure, otherwise the launch would be very compicated);
- SHA3 is a bit more secure than SHA256;
usage of SHA3 is not connected with bridging. but we would be looking in DeFi/getting to ETH space, thanks for the tip for Cosmos SDK too, will take a look!
