 what about S4 ( someting based on S3) ?
Like 4 or 5 THs in box like S2?

The upgrade cards for the S2 are being engineered, and I imagine that will usher in an S4 unit with said cards.  With lower power consumption, they should be able to create a more dense product with the same PSU, more or less.

That's all conjecture on my part, minus the bit where they stated they are working on S2 upgrade cards, which is in the OP.

1. Will there be upgrade parts for S1 and S2?

Yes, there will be. But we still need to solve some production/testing problem before we finalize the plan and public it.

Yes but upgrade of S2 and new machine are two diff things .. I want buy new machine and not to DIY .. thats why I hope in a brand new S4

What does this mean?

Don’t parallel connected different DC input from different PSU into the same Hashing board.

If you are using two psu's on your s3 , then make sure that each psu is only powering one blade. NOT HALF OF EACH BLADE

It means you cant use two different power supplies for one S3

Antminer S3 is packet with 2 PCI-E slots in each PCB(blade).
You may connect one blade with a psu and the other blade with another psu. Then just link the common of both.
There is no power loaded from controller to 1 blade or viceversa so its safe to use 2 PSUs.
There will be no harm in doing it. But never ever connect the PCI-E connector of one PSU
to a blade and a PCI-E connector of another PSU to the same blade.
That's what the statement means.

It means you cant use two different power supplies for one S3
on the same board - if designed like the s1 it should have 2 boards. 1 power supply could work on 1 on the right and 1 could work on the left. However, it'd just be recommended to get 1 power supply that has enough pci-e connectors to do the job and power the miner.

So you would much rather them mine for themselves during the most profitable period of time the S3 is likely to ever see instead of giving it to you so you can take home those earnings?

You don't need to mine with HW for 10 days to know it's good to go.  When you buy a car, does it have 10,000KM (or miles) on it in lieu of "factory testing"?  Of course not.

Bitmain bases the price on the delivery window/profit potential, earlier delivery would just have increased price so potential roi would not have been affected much, they almost decrease price as fast as they would have mined (just look at B1,2,3).

If Bitmain promises a delivery date that you pay for and then delays shipment to use the hardware to mine for themselves while you wait, then you can start complaining. But S3 terms were very clear, 10-20th of July shipment window, that's what you pay for and are entitled to, if they had the gear before that or not and were using it as counterweight in their giant trebuchet or mines with it really does not concern you, as long as they deliver what they promised at the time of your purchase their obligations to you are fulfilled.

With that established would you rather the delivered S3s to be already calculated into current diff or be a new addition of hash power accelerating the growth and reducing profits?

yeah, HW can fail on 1st day, 1st month, 5th month... or never... who knows when its going to fail

IIRC the probability that a HW device will fail on day X is independent of how many days it's been running.  Granted that was assuming an ideal model.
True, and also bitmain gives you a 90 day warranty, so there shouldnt be any problems. (atleast not from bad manufacturing ...)
