I have Bitshares on an exchange that I plan to hold for years and want send them to a local Linux wallet. I prefer to build the binaries myself (I am a C++ coder). Agree. It should only be a matter of time before BitShares becomes one of the most popular alt coins in existence. The new GUI (v2.0.160702) definitely looks promising. I like the new header and settings layout. It gives a clean and simple look to the Graphene platform. Prices like these won't last forever so I think that it may be a smart choice to buy some before it is too late.

By the way, an OpenLedger app for Android/iOS would make things pretty handy. Just my opinion. Cheesy

Well, in my opinion this could be a huge opportunity to buy some cheap BTS and make decent profits once it will skyrocket. All the attention has been brought to Lisk and Waves but soon people will realize the true potential of BTS and will start pumping it. I think that we should make the move as a community to help promote BTS and drive it towards new heights. All it needs is a good marketing strategy and it will be good to go. Also, the DEX needs more liquidity but I think it will rise once people realize that is is not safe to use centralized exchanges like Poloniex due to hacks, etc. Decentralized exchanges will be the next big thing. Just my opinion. Grin

There is no more interest rate in bitassets , but your bitUSD will always be worth at least 1 usd each.

Steem dollars("backed" with STEEM) will offer interest rate and will be available on 4th on July, but I don't know in what exchanges they will trade(bittrex might be one of them)

Well yeah it is kind of a smart contract, but I was only referring as to the development of dapps from within the BitShares platform. Then, it could rival Ethereum with its decentralized apps to prove which one is better and the most reliable. Seeing what happened with The DAO's smart contract code exploit, it could only mean that the ETH ecosystem has many flaws. BTS can be a better platform for decentralized apps and a full fledged financial platform with the ability to create assets, dividends distribution, delegates and more. Just my opinion.

Thanks for sharing these useful resources mate. It should keep us updated with the latest in BitShares and Steem. I think that the last one makes a nice addition to the BitShares platform. In order for BitShares to succeed, it just needs a good marketing strategy to drive business and companies into adopting the platform. Then, BTS would be considered as a solid decentralized financial platform for business and companies alike in which it will have a very nice effect in price. It just needs to drive interest into it and we'll see long term success. BTS would be a complete platform if it implements smart contracts. Just my opinion. Cheesy
