Just a wild guess, but if the affected accounts all belong to middle east-ish countries, it could mean this is some sort of measere against terrorism and how they finance their operations.
In any case, an xchange with bad communication and bad rumors is a red flad for me.
you do right thing
but dont be simple man
terrorism?!!!
At the end of the day, it does not really matter what kind of reason they have. Maybe it´s pressure from the US gov, maybe it´s scam. It doesnt matter. What matters to me is that Bittrex acts completely intransparent and hostile to some users. Their twitter guy was behaving like a dick ("There is nothing to tweet about", "stop it or I will ban you").
The truth is: We have to put a lot of faith in these exchanges and trust that they don´t loose or steal our money. Often, we don´t really know who is behind an exchange, and if something happens the chance we could successfully sue these people and get out money back is about nil. Unprofessional behaviour is a clear red flag for me. So yeah, I am done with Bittrex.
