I think it's going to be an exciting project since it's a holiday season but what about after the yuletide? how could you make this project lasts even after the season? Kindly lay down your concepts and business proposals for us to be aware.

As promised, every day we will anticipate some information about the BlackBox project, we will therefore make this thread a sort of Advent Calendar.

We invite you to take a look at XmasCoin thread and to XmasCoin homepage to make things more clear.

Here's a small summary taken from XmasCoin thread.

For each token you purchase you will receive, in addition to XmasCoins, a bonus up to 5  times the value in BlackBox tokens in March:

• By December 25: 5x BlackBox + 30% Bonus for XmasCoin tokens.
• By December 31: 5x BlackBox +20% Bonus for XmasCoin tokens.
• By January 07: 2x BlackBox + XmasCoin tokens.

In addition, all registered participants who will contribute at least 0.1 ETH by December 25th will be eligible to participate actively in some choices related to the first phase after BlackBox tokens distribution, as well as early access to the project and product.

BlackBox is a decentralised security system based on analysis of human behaviour and the environment carried out by a European team.
The purpose of the project is to replace traditional and centralised personal security and video surveillance systems, which currently dominate the personal and public security market.

Users pay according to the use of the service and installed modules (pay per use).

No need for a centralized system or surveillance operators to control the environment and the interactions with it.

Modularity.  The system consists of modules that can be installed and managed via a simple graphical interface. It is also possible to manage services relating to the sensors, the type of analysis to be carried out and the types of alarms.

Share&Care
Share informations with a group or one or more people in a completely secure way. It is also possible to share a state of alarm with a group, nearest users or local authorities, thus allowing faster support.

Privacy. The IntraSec module allows the user to maintain total control of critical systems,  creating a sort of isolation, maintaining information analysis functions.
Useful for both mission critical systems and for private users who do not want to delegate the security of their environments.

Compatibility. The system is compatible with a wide range of ip-cams currently on the market, but most features are also available for lower quality cams or with limited functionality such as those mounted on smartphones and drones.



This is a great and efficient opportunity to use your equipment because BlackBox analysis have, on average, significant lower price compared to the price for solving PoW tasks.
In fact, home/small farm mining is becoming less profitable over time, while the BlackBox network can guarantee a profit for the work done, also thanks to the fact that BlackBox is able to select the best type of processing according to the hardware in use, perform the work and make the payment due.
Almost every component used for mining, but not only, becomes a perfect hardware to get a profit by proceeding real tasks, from CPUs to mobile devices, even solo mining will return being a reality.

The only necessary thing is the installation of our software, called “Mango”.

Mango is part of our system's brain that perform some of the necessary analysis activities.
Mango consist of a container server, a command line client, web and desktop clients that allows to manage settings, view statistics and network status. It also includes other client tools and a REST API.


The BlackBox project uses Fog and Edge computing architecture to bring more computational power, storage capacity and latency and response time minimization where up to now there are limitations for the security industry and computational processing.

Latency and response time minimization are essential elements for the processing of information in a critical sector such as security and, using P2P technologies, BlackBox allows you to get the most out of every condition.

Not every piece of code needs to be run on every machine, then it's less operations costly compared to other parallelization decentralized systems.

The BlackBox project implements mainly four components:

• Gateway nodes. Are able to providing tasks distribution, evaluation of the results, connection between nodes and monitoring their health and service updates.
• Nodes. Processing informations. Mango software provides this functionality to miners.
• Communication protocol. Transferring data and messages between gateway and nodes.
• Ethereum blockchain. Performs basic operations for accessing our system and it's a first-class citizen of the BlackBlox project with its own API service that allows BlackBox to communicate with it.
