bc is in trouble. this is true. if bc dont solve PR problem,  will sinking forever

We have encountered these deep dips so many times already and then panic buys over 25K. Smiley Currently I think many dumped BC at low price to loose again in XC train. I just cancelled my buy order for XC as it is going to dumpster for now and set buy order at 17K for BlackCoin, maybe I'll be happy this time to get it filled.

You say make sense. but my point is not trolling. i love bc. bc devs will probably know pr problem...pos2.0 is very awesome blackhalo too.
but it has no news..we need news. that`s all

If someone missed from reddit.
BlackNode:

"
[]drunkonsound[S ] 2 punkty 1 dzień temu*

We will build out BlackNode and try to get a few nodes running it and start with a fork of the blackcoin core client. If it works well we will talk with Pavel and see how he feels about implementing it in the core.

We think being able to send money to users based on their email address using a federated and decentralized system will make using blackcoins much easier for the average user and hopefully increase adoption. This technology will be open source and hopefully will benefit cryptocurrencies as a whole too.

We are also working on plans to build out a system that would also make it easier to safely store backups using multi-signatures on these decentralized systems which would also make using crypto currency safer for average users. In the event they lose their wallet they would be able to recover a copy from a BlackNode. The idea being they could store backups signed by multiple close friends or family and they could request those trusted people to help recover their lost private keys from the BlackNodes. This would be worked on later though, our primary focus first will be resolving to easy to remember addresses.

We hope these together can make a low energy and quick transaction cryptocurrency like Blackcoin ready for a wider audience."

Starting to be interesting.
I am looking forward for it.

I mixed something from rat4's readme and the previous mentioned way to build a wallet and it worked. Wallet running at the moment.

try to build wallet on Ubuntu 32 bit

qmake blackcoin-qt.pro && make does not work  Huh

Hi, try to cd blackcoin and then qmake && make. Works fine for me.. I have Qt5 I think.. Btw, the .pro file is something that you can open with Qt Creator.

finally got it to compile in Ubuntu 32-bit

it goes likes this using terminal in Ubuntu

in terminal go to your downloads folder by typing the following command

cd Downloads

and then type

Code:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qt4-dev-tools libqt4-dev libqt4-core libqt4-gui
sudo apt-get install build-essential
sudo apt-get install libssl-dev
sudo apt-get install libdb4.8-dev
sudo apt-get install libdb++-dev
sudo apt-get install libqrencode-dev s
sudo apt-get install libboost1.48-all-dev

and then type

sudo apt-get install git

and then type

git clone https://github.com/rat4/blackcoin

and then  type

cd blackcoin

and the type

qmake "USE_UPNP=-"

and then finally just type

make

I have a fresh Ubuntu 64bit 14.04 LTS installation with qt5.3 and am unable to get the BlackCoin wallet running.

I downloaded the newest version from the blackcoin.co website and is named "blackcoin-qt" it has no extension. Properties tell me that it is an executable file, but double clicking does nothing. In a terminal I tried ./blackcoin-qt and that gives me the following error:

./blackcoin-qt
./blackcoin-qt: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.20' not found (required by ./blackcoin-qt)

I googled both libstdc++.so.6 and GLIBCXX_3.4.20 and found several tips to install various libs and programs none of them helped with the error(This is why my install is fresh, I tried a lot of downloaded stuff and that didn't feel okay, I want to run a install without unnecessary stuff).

The readme(https://github.com/rat4/blackcoin/blob/master/doc/readme-qt.rst) says to execute a couple commands, the first one I did and that works ok. The next qmake and make I don't understand, they do nothing. To my knowledge those command work for .pro files and what the BlackCoin.com website gives me is an executable file that is extensionless.

Who knows what I need do to get past the error and run the wallet?

Funny to see how BC is stable at 20k.

will it rise soon ?
You will never know new people will come when hallo will be polished and usefull for trading (and open source )
that will happen but Davidd need build dev team to improve halo but this will happen we need support him.
I keep all BC on depths and rises so far best technique for me.( i try buy only on depths too but i mine on pool too )

Anyway i see XC :-) good coin they are trying something different and this is good. (i have 0 XC to be clear same VRC )
POS coins with good creative devs can support each other in longer run on market there are Java POS... many POW coins...
New type will come like no blockchain coins too then some with instant transactions too just wait and observe.

At the end trading cross chain is most anon that any XC or DRK mixing when cross chain trading will be available between BC
and zeroknowlege protocool coin BC will be ultimate anon too.
I don't have any because i know that currently price is hard manipulated and will try to find real value over next months.

is XC BC clone ? If yes XC > BC by marketcap. Thats means xc is better can than bc isnt it ?

XC is trying to win the PoS Anon battle. We are trying to win the PoS war. Just because a coin has a higher market cap doesn't mean it's better. They've had a higher cap before just to drop back down.

Few people understand Black Halo right now. But once that starts, we'll start picking up steam.
True BC support:
Price can be manipulated this not !!

XC has already been pumped like that before, actually to an even more ridiculous level. As always: what goes up too fast comes down as fast. Pumps like that cannot be sustained for a long time.

STEP-BY-STEP (WITH IMAGES) INSTRUCTIONS TO SETUP BLACKHALO AND DO A CONTRACT

Very nice job for the explanation! So if the the contract expires you automatically get your BC back in case designer did not complete and did not cancel?

No if the time limit expires both parties lose their coins. That is what makes the contracts unbreakable. The risk is always higher than the reward and the communication is usually filtered and encrypted.

I'd say for the above scenario, you should probably go through escrow. Find a smart escrow who has all the questions taken care of beforehand and written in contract.

thrasher.
Looks like the mutlipool has seen recent increase in workers, very nice to see. This will ensure future stability for Blackcoin.

Also other important indicators like number of nodes online, number of transactions are all good.
