Can someone please explain to me exactly what is going to happen in about 1 week? I am mining now, will it stop being worthwhile to mine after that?

It will stop mining Wink

New blocks will have 0 rewards, except for the transactions themselves. New coins will be staked via PoS @ 1% / year.

take a look at preminecoin for an example of how this will work.

out of interest, what does everything else think about these prices? :./

way too cheap considering the difficulty
difficulty on a brand new coin is extremely unstable and will most likely drop off within the next 24 hours. It's a poor way of judging a brand new coin.
Especially with a 1 block readjustment rate. One or two big miners drop off and the difficulty is cut in half.

This is the real price:

Total BTC volume/Total BC volume (let's say 100m)          12,439,425 BTC/ 100,000,000BC              0.12439425
-------------------------------------------------   =     -------------------------------   =       ------------- = 0.00002487885BTC/BC
                     5000                                                                    5000                                     5000

That would make my 4.5k worth approx 0.11BTC

220 satoshi's means a total market value of 220BTC (~125.000$) for all of BC.

I've seen 300 - 400 satoshi prices so far.
With this difficulty + the fact that you can't mine this in 1 week, 220 sat is way too low. It's the same market value as penguin coin...
theres an infinite amount of BC, just 100M the first year from what I understand.
Then 1% each year.
After 10 year it's 110,46 MIL. After 100 years it's 270.48MIL.

Yes, but only 1% volume increase per year. It's kinda perfect inflation model.

Being that its my offer, i'd happily give my opinion =P
its a gaurranteed profit to the seller for a coin that does not yet have an exchange or any real value yet.

Two weeks from now it could be worth 100x that, or 0. Some seller will take it to ensure low risk profit, others will pass it up in hopes of hitting it big in a few days. =)

As a buyer, theres to high a risk to invest much more money into it.
