It looks like the initial distribution will account for more than 20.1 million coins (approximately 16,864,500 BTC + 3,312,500 ZCL) already which leaves less than 900K left to still be mined so what happens when 21 mil is reached?  Also, how many coins per block?

Considering that there isn't even a whitepaper when the "fork" date is so close, this just looks like a scheme for ZCL holders to pump the price and dump their bags on unsuspecting idiots.

No whitepaper released yet but it's on the roadmap. See there tweet on Feb 1st.

I mine ZCL approximately 1 month and like it)
Join to this hardfork
Can I use Electrum wallet for this hardfork by Mac OS?

yes you can use this wallet. but you have to rename it if you are using electrum wallet for BTC too. you can just give the app inside the dmg a new name like electrum-z. after you launched the wallet the first it will create a unique folder .electrum-zcl. so no conflict with other eletrumn wallets.

In BTCz we trust. Organic slow growth.
So the cheapest way to get Bitcoin Private is probably to buy ZCL? Unless I believe Bitcoin Private will drop under current ZCL prices.

That is correct. And that's the reason for the recent price rise in ZCL.

I am on the edge of buying ZCL but not so sure about it.

Obviously 'BTCP will be lower because they are giving away 1.25 to 5x BTCP to each ZCL mined to their donation pool (where you donate and lose all your mined ZCL waiting for future BTCP).

But it will start high and drop quickly.

I am on the edge of buying ZCL but not so sure about it. I believe that the price of ZCL will drop heavily even before the snapshot. To me personally this is a super risky gamble. And the ZCL devs already said that it is unclear how ZCL as a network will proceed afterwards. So the whole buying activity is because of the fork but someone might play it even smarter. Most likely the people who started buying at 3-4 dollars are now slowly selling into the demand up to 150 dollars.

Whats the point of another fork? We have already enough privacy coins. BTCP will be for noobs, because it will be cheap and it has BTC and privacy in name.
And why ZCL support this fork? After the fork everyone will dump ZCL..

I think that's just it, though. It has Bitcoin in the name. Brings in a lot of attention just because of that.

I KNEW I should've been buying ZCL during the last dip down to about $60.....  well, I did, but not nearly enough.

I think this is going to do very well after the fork (at least btcp should do well).......but that' just one man's opinion.

Good luck to all...  Feb 28 is rapidly approaching

i'm kinda late to the game, but does Cryptopia support BTCP fork? If not, then technically we need to have ZCL in our wallets during the snapshot. Then afterwards everyone will be sending his/her BTCP to exchanges to dump. Am i correct?

So far the only Exchange that has a potential listing is Binance, which the dev team has an application pending for currently. Yes you are right about the wallet. Until there is full exchange support you will need to have it in a local wallet where you hold the private key for. And yes on the dumping part as well.

The project is looking very promising and good that I have a very small amount of ZCL. Hoping to get a little more. Good luck with the project.
