Hey, Folks,
Join XCICOIN Reddit! https://www.reddit.com/r/xcicoin
We will move some activity there too.
Bitcoin and Monero (CryptoNote) is rising very fast today and XCI uses the same tech as XMR! This year is a year of privacy and weed coins and there is no doubt XCI is a leader here because it is the ONLY anonymous Marijuana cryptocurrency.
We are going to introduce new XCI version, thanks, and kudos to @SLB!
Cheers.

If weed becomes legal, then the anonymity aspect is just moot....

I honestly think that XCI needs to concentrate on getting adopted by dispensaries.

That's what's going to make your coin valuable.

I think anonymity is important with anything. Even buying tomatoes. Because it's just none of their damn business.

I don't agree. Having private money is the bedrock of any successful money and economic system.

@xcicoin, When will the new XCI be launched?

Will there be a coin swap?

What are the chances we can get listed on poloniex this year? Has any inroads been made with the dev team and the owners or any contacts at poloniex.

Hello pool operators and mining experts.

I was wondering, as I can see that there are a selection of starting difficulties to choose from at for example xci.cryptonotepool.com which one I should select?
apparently three starting difficulties are 1000, 2000, 10000.
If I have for example 1.0 kh/s using Claymores awesome cryptonote miner, which port (starting diff) should I choose?
Are there some benefits for a miner using a correct port(start, diff)?
Or is the option to choose just that the pool wouldn´t not get unintentionally spammed by too much traffic going in and out?

just start mining  you gonna see the diff in the miner  you probably best choise is 10000

Hi there,
The situation with the pure cryptonotefountation buggy source code is not good at all. FYI we will fix all of those issues and will migrate to the new codebase proposed by forknote @slb
We have few options now:

1 - To start XCICoin with ForkNote daemons.
2 - To move XCICoin source code to the original ForkNote source code  v1.* (stable and working with GUI)
3 - To move XCICoin source code to the original ForkNote source code  v2.* (early beta and not working with GUI)

What do you think?

Fork new XMR release with ring CT. Then carry on.

We will use only battle-tested soft. Thank you for suggestion.

How long do you expect all this to take. We talking days, weeks or even longer? Huh

Days, up to 2 weeks.

1 - you currently have it but it's not user friendly
2 - depends on how fast it can be compiled
3 - no ETA. when it's stable enough
