I have a Nvidia Geforce GTX 770
Its not the most exotic but for what I do with my PC I didn't need any better as I don't play games.
My PC is used as a DAW recording workstation so the money was spent on the drives, cooling
case etc,. Its a superb PC though I can throw anything at it.

But Im going to have to stop mining. It will break the CPU im sure of it and i need that PC to be in tip top
working condition.

As a matter of interest I presume there would be a different batch/config file to switch to graphics card
mining?

Apologies for the Noobness. Like  I say I trade, never bothered with the mining - until now.

Great coin though and i hope it works out for you guys.

Mining on CPU just means it runs at full power, it shouldn't 'break' if the temperature is ok.  The fan on your CPU cooler should speed up to keep it below 80c at 100% usage or whatever the max temp for your CPU is rated at.

You can use a tool like HWInfo to monitor your CPU temps and CPU fan speed: http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php.  If the CPU is within temp range specified by manufacturer then even mining you won't damage it.  You can lower the mining intensity setting to reduce load too.

Your GPU is probably more powerful for mining, but I think for Nvidia you need 'ccminer'.

If you are a small miner you should try p2p pool they usually give better payouts: http://pool.kryptochaos.com/workers

You guys getting super lag on Bittrex and C-CEX right now?  Mine is horrible.
Waiting on SuchPool to add.  Should be within days or later Monday.

Nah not the coin, I was talking about the exchanges themselves.  Both are super laggy, like DDOS or super high traffic.

CANN doing well,  been tweeting like crazy Cheesy

LOL, yes, CANN is rooting itself for growth.

Its the pool that comes with it.
However, just right now 0.4800565 420 arrived.
Thats the first coin I ever mined (only ever traded)
Whoo Hoo  Grin

Question. I don't think its a good idea to have my rather good PC doing this right?
CPU - all 8 cores at full 100%. That cant be good for the computer right?
What concerns me is the fans are not going off which I would expect if the CPU is constantly
running at 100%. Overheating possibility?
Win 7 - 8 core intel 3.4ghz, etc

what graphiccard do u have inside ur computer?
