The USB key looks like a great way to securely store coins. Like a paper wallet but way more usable. You can dig it up from the back yard, send out a few coins and bury it again.

Once we switch to Proof-of-Stake, the rate of inflation will be significantly less than throughout PoW.

This is good for our community and one of the reasons we want an extra 4-6 weeks of mining is to give miners the opportunity to acquire more coins prior to this phase.

We currently have plans to utilize 30+ Mh/s to generate coins for giveaways that will be coming online by the middle of next week.  After that, our miners will point at multipools, Dogecoin, Litecoin and we will begin buying CCN on the marketplace for giveaways.

We recently have had many inquiries about price pegging and Cannacoin.

Do we plan to plan to peg the price of CCN to Cannabis?

The short answer is: Yes   This is part of a long-term strategy to benefit our community in Washington as well as extend this into Oregon and California.  We have many business partners in those states that are currently watching our development and remaining in contact with us.  These include growers, patients, producers (such as edibles and extract companies), and retailers.

The Cannacoin team has ruthlessly discouraged hyping our coin by making promises and creating high expectations which in turn lead to pumping and dumping.  We are committed to delivering development, as you can see from our many projects if you scan this thread.

At the Cannacoin Convention, we will be discussing price-pegging and how to accomplish this realistically.  Most likely, we will start with price pegging on our own Cannacoin.cc/store for merchandise that is not Cannabis. 

People must remember we are operating in a very gray area with regards to the law when it comes to crypto and Cannabis, so we are going to tread extremely carefully and ensure that nobody gets hurt.

I think the low volume of coins is important for a industry specific coin. What do you guys think?

So, let's be realistic here.  In order to peg 1 gram of MJ to 1 Cannacoin, you have to have someone who is able to produce and sell enough to do that.  Saying you are going to peg the price, and actually doing it, are two different things.  Let's say that someone wants to exchange 1,000 CCN for 1,000 grams.  That would be highly unrealistic at the moment. 

Moreover, given the current legal issues surrounding both crypto and Cannabis in Washington State and other states, it is best to develop our platform and get more coins distributed.

At the moment, we are more interested in developing our platform and moving to Proof-of-stake before we attempt to do this.  However, given our low amount of coins compared to other coins, it is far more realistic for us to peg prices.

In the short-term, we WILL be pegging the price of products on our cannacoin.cc/store as we improve it and put more goods on there.

In short, there's a lot of development that needs to get done before this would be logistically possible.

What is the ETA for POS implementation? And what will the interest rate be?

This is very clever and great thinking... make using crypto, in this case, CCN... easy for the masses and the computer challenged. I really like this and will be putting it to good use.
