i have cloaks in my wallet i transfer to exchange but still waiting for confirmations since 14days please help me

Please help me

Put your transaction in here:

http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/chain/CloakCoin

Check if your on the right fork?
If not do this:
went through the same. Apparently fork on mintpal. Only way to recover for me was:

1. Make copy of wallet.dat -DO NOT MISS THIS else coin gone
2. Get rid of the entire appdata\roaming\cloakcoin folder
3. Run the wallet
4. stop it and copy your saved wallet.dat back in
5. create a cloakcoin.conf file in the appdata\roaming\cloakcoin folder
6. add some nodes eg this is the content of my file:

Get latest nodes from... http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/nodes/

7. Run the wallet again and let it sync

I had to restart it a couple of times to get the sync to complete
If your coins don't show (happened to me) : go to debug console and enter and run repairwallet

Should be good after that

CloakTalk community built forum has been added to OP.

http://cloaktalk.org/

We are on to TRY and get PoSA from early dev test stages into "beta" today.

From the PoSA dev himself:

"We'll get a posa build out today, just need to not get sidetracked with other stuff like forks" :crosses fingers:

if english is an issue, then i understand some people's frustration with having issues, assuming they are unable to read the OP.

however, if they can't read the OP, what the hell are they doing with an installed wallet and coins?

part of me is going to be happy if people just give up on doing the simple steps to get on the right fork and a % of the coins just end up being "lost". will give the rest of the coins more value

Please help me

Either a) send a support message to the exchange in question or b) perform these steps:  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7780140

It sounds like you sent coins while on a different fork.  Thus the coins will never arrive at the exchange.  After performing these steps, they'll be back in your wallet.

Bottom line is the devs don't work for you or anyone else for that matter. They work for free and on donations. There was no pre-mine or shady launch practices. If you were employing them to build and work on a coin for you then you can post criticism of missed or delayed dates. But that isn't the case we are all just investors in a promising new currency with a solid roadmap.

One thing you should know if you have ever engineered software is that "dates" are always just an estimate. Things come up at the last minute that might of been overlooked that affect the estimate release of a feature. Other times you find things that could improve the overall structure/performance of the codebase, which then require additional resources to implement. Another thing you should know is that putting pressure on a software engineer only delays the progress even more. Once you are jacked in and have a good flow going the last thing you are thinking of is a post on a forum about FUD or a delayed date. Your main focus is the logic.

I'd advise everyone to take a deep breathe and go rub one out. Go to the beach and have a couple drinks. Do something other than worry about your Cloak investment or the release of a feature. If the feature is delayed for any reason its because there is still work that needs to be done and you should take that as confidence in the development team. In my experience looking at a lot of the developers here like Darkcoin for example - they build up hype, release a feature without proper testing and it completely kills the confidence in the platform. If the dev team is taking their time to fully test a product before launching it that is not only good for the product but also good for your investment as you can expect a lot better ROI.

If you want a perfect example of what rushed software products look like just have a look at Microsoft. They set the benchmark for meeting the "release date."

also, i want to point out to the knob kicking up a storm about the devs not giving you your explanation on how to exploit their coin (lol, sigh)...

THE DEV ALREADY RESPONDED TO YOU. which you completely ignored, cause you're too busy trying to argue against everyone here.

also, i think you need to lookup the definition of "ad hominem attack"

LOL

500k satoshi. double xc, half of drk.

ballpark.

admittedly, but for this we need real results... here is 3 plans:

1. PoSA
2. OneMarket
3. OneLedger

but nothing results yet, for now its only promises... how many coins you known with promises ?

I don´t even get your intention... if people want to buy into promises until they get delivered no matter if its delay let them. If your one of the guys that wants the thing running, buy in AFTER its delivered and you got your coin with the PROMISES you want.... so clearly your just FUDding... in the meanwhile you are free to sell your coins and stop having useless non-arguments about it.

For anyone that missed the news yesterday:

I finished building us an Official Forum for Cloak - http://www.cloaktalk.org/. Anyone looking to further the cloak discussion without the presence of these toe jammers on bitcointalk feel free to join. Note that any posting of FUD in the non-FUD section will result in the automatic IP BAN.

I would like to thank all the scum on bitcointrashtalk that motivated me to build us a new forum.

remember when the Cloakdevs promised to have a working Cloaksend 1.0 within a week after the whitepaper, and they did it?

remember when they said they'd have a working trade (Cloaktrade) interface from the wallet? oh right, that's fully functional in the wallet now.

and all of this within the span of 4 weeks, wow you must REALLY have high standards for coins. you'd think they didn't have any time to post constant updates, constantly release new features, constantly be developing implementations of new features, and constant community presence... but they somehow pulled all that off too.

1) PoSA has been slated for an imminent release, devs pulling 36 hour shifts is usually an indication that they're working their balls off.
2) the community-voted OneMarket (which only got a whitepaper days ago) has been very clearly pegged for development AFTER PoSA is released. this is not news.
3) OneLedger... was LITERALLY announced less than 24 hours ago. you know, just another run of the mill revolutionary concept that completely flips the concept of a crypto currency on it's head.

or in other words:

"WTF WHY ARENT THESE DONE YET? THIS DEV ONLY PROMISES"

troll.

How's this for an argument -

You are the public, and disclosing security vulnerabilities affecting financial systems to the public without giving developers ample time to solve the issue is unethical. If one of the other devs is contacting TheDagger trying to get some information or participate in a global PoS fix and TheDagger isn't permitting their contribution, that's one thing - but I haven't seen a single developer asking for the description of this issue just users who could potentially abuse it not fix it. If you're a coin dev, you should have been PMing TheDagger on Sunday when this issue was announced asking for more details or to contribute. As is it just looks like scared investors wanting more information than they are entitled to. Even if a dev were to pop out of the woodwork now and ask for details on the PoS issue, I as a developer wouldn't give it to them. They didn't take the Cloak devs seriously about the issue in the first place, they aren't taking them seriously now. Cloak devs shouldn't be working for free for people who aren't interested, invested, or willing to contribute to a fix.

Ahh. But 'twas not me (the public) that released the info. It was the coin. So that bridge was crossed. In a very deliberate fashion. That's how this was set in play.

If there is a flaw in POS of this and other coins, the truly responsible thing to do would be to notify the devs of the other affected coins directly before releasing anything to the public. Simply releasing details of a flaw to the public after fixing it for only your own product is exactly what Cloudflare did with the Heartbleed OpenSSL bug.

I know there are a LOT of POS coins out there (both proof-of-stake and piece-of-shit), and contacting each and every dev individually would be nearly impossible, not to mention extremely time-consuming. I unfortunately don't have a constructive suggestion for what to do here, but this is factor that should be considered.
