Hey everyone,

I just signed up @ https://cryptocointalk.com/ they are a TOR/I2P/VPN friendly cryptocurrency forum. Anyone else in favor of moving the official CLOAK forum over to cryptocointalk?

For those of you that don't know this forum is extorting TOR/I2P/VPN users for money. IMO this forum is not the best place to have an anonymous currency discussion.. The hypocritical thing is the forum is "Sponsored by https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/, a Bitcoin-accepting VPN."

@Alty
Good to know
Can i get the correct wallet download link ?

Sure, this is it, it's got a typo as it says 1.5.9.1 (when infact it's 1.9.5.2)

Will get that changed.

Mega Download 1.9.5.2

You can download latest .conf direct from the block explorer if not already done so.

http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/nodes/

Edit: Typo fixed.

Fuck Voot. Dumped that shit at first sign of controversy. Credibility is everything. If only there was a coin that delivered on their promises and have developers who don't turn their backs on their own coins.  Roll Eyes

Ya. I hope Onemarket is not based on http://seed.openbazaar.org:8888/html/index.html#orders decentralized ebay sounds familiar to http://www.coindesk.com/openbazaar-bitcoin-build-decentralised-ebay/

Rest assured Onemarket is completely unique and innovative, just like everything else we have done so far.  Wink

Whitepaper out soon.

I've taken a pretty heavy investment in Cloak.  Why? It's simple:

1. Dev team.  They are productive and appear to be highly skilled.
2. Technology. While the white papers aren't perfect they show great promise.
3. Branding. They appear to have a pretty talented branding team.
4. Fair start. Speaks for itself.
5. Minimal market manipulation so far.  The market is acting rationally right now.  Watch out for pumps/dumps.  Wait for the real buyers to move in before taking profits.  XC is a good example of a coin that took off far too fast before any proof of the valuation it was given. This will make it harder for XC later if it's technology is useful.
6. Forward goals. Dev team has expressed interest in goals beyond that's already publicly known.

It's possible for all this to turn to shit and the coin tanking.  Any buying at these levels require some faith and risk. There are only a couple other coins right now that are showing this promise. Let's sit back now and watch the development team execute. As they deliver the market will reward us.  If they fail to deliver the market will punish early investors.. it's that simple.  It's also pretty obvious Bitcoin is hitting a second wind.  If it spikes to $1000 that will encourage people to look for other places to put money into cryptocurrenies.

I think this should be if it "resides" at or near 1000, there is some strength moving in atm, I don't see this as being improbable.

So how do I view the richlist?

EDIT: Found it http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/richlist/

I'm a bit weary of the ability of the richlist and the way it tracks cloakcoin holdings.
- The coin count is often inaccurate - most people have more or less coins than what the big list says.
- Some of the wallets are newer than 6/20 (The day cloak hit the exchanges) and have no staking and some have huge deposits with no correlation to buys of that size
- According to the list one person in the top ten liquidated 150K coins on 6/20 and bought 90K recently without it making much of an impact on the prices at the exchanges(I.E. #4 and #6 are the same person)
- Some of the accounts in the top 300 are derivatives of the top holders - they've been created to fluff up the list and make it look like there's more investors in cloak than there actually are

Go to the richlist and look at the following addresses(All in the top 50):
CGEQkDc2Vhz7tv7gp6KNnUL8eFKyRusFZh
C8Cs7Tu5rQx59mAW1QN5zUd1Y9p3KzY57T
Bv3xXM7sd5Gyw6WjruKUU63FfR5uWKnFpb
C5otGv19q2UHYThA9hWTym3rhBeY54oGqK

ButHESe1NSsywPqvTSsKdH8HdioGduK1dJ
C6dUB9hhjckef5vk8pSXsipgHwPFHxjvrz

These all appear to be wallet addresses made to give the illusion of many large investors

Small hint... one of this addresses is my wallet. So much to illusions

Is there a reason you're not staking? It's costing you at least 3 cloakcoins per day not to.

Called cold wallet.

How many cold wallets in the top 200 do you have?

Only one so far

I guess my point is that the rich list is not a great indicator of growth - a large chunk of it is not staking.

VootCoin plans to be the first coin to fund a fully functional, decentralized-opensource market using anonymous P2P payments in VOOT with no central authority involved.
This is a near-term project and will be funded in the next week.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annvoot-old-thread-639371

So, just wanting to make sure we are on top of game here, do we have this before them? So much confusion in anon coins, who's doing what and first. Would be nice if developers explained in laymens terms why cloakcoin is separate from the pack if it is?

I believe this is the core of the problem, most not understanding whitepaper or being explained in a dumbed down way what is so special about this coin.

I see others like voot now are taking the glory? Do they have an justifiable right to be considered a success, and if not, it would be nice to hear a breakdown of ins and outs of anon tech, and why cloak is best if it is.

I'm hearing it from what is said, but like others i technically don't get it.

C6dUB9hhjckef5vk8pSXsipgHwPFHxjvrz

These wallet addresses appear to give the illusion of many large investors
Skimming through the top 173 I see 40 addresses holding coins with less than 5 transactions:
- 5 in the top 30
- 10 in the top 42
- 15 in the top 66
- 20 in the top 87
- 25 in the top 101
- 30 in the top 110
- 35 in the top 152
- 40 in the top 173 <- more than 20% of the top 173 are wallets with less than 5 transactions who are not staking

Think about the amount of coin lost by not staking when the wallet in position 173 has ~$1200 (1200 * 0.06 = 72 / 365 = $0.20 per day).
The wallet at position #13 has ~$15000 (15000 * 0.06 = 900 / 365 = $2.47 per day)

hi y'all.....and dagger dev

long time listener, 1st time caller

as a fellow cloak evangelist, i'd like to say..........this is my horse, the horse i'm betting on, which might not be the wisest strategy, but if you're gonna beton one of these coins, this seems like the best bet.
i got in on this thing........... bill still on youtube saying how quark could make us rich, well, it didn't.  so i've lost a lot of $ since then, made some too.  read alot, learned a lot.   cloak is gonna make history, and make us rich  Grin

anyway, if you go to http://www.cloakcoin.com/    the FONT on the work CLOAK needs to be updated, the other font looks a lot better.    also, it's all red and white, why not try a little bit of a black outline, to kind of frame it off,  i think it would help a little.

just wish i had more to invest!    cheers
