They have given an update on July about the distribution in terms of Airdrops, not in terms of ICO, so what are the requirements we need to have in order to qualify for the Airdrops Either we need to hold ETH  or any other coins.
This clip from the team's update should help to clarify:

The first airdrop will be to the 3,500+ community members who successfully
passed our KYC process and provided us with a token wallet address. Those members will each receive an airdrop of 500 CodexCoin tokens (CODX). Purchasers who bought as part of the public sale will each receive a refund of the ETH they contributed along with an additional airdrop of 2,000 CodexCoin.

Question:
Quote
You mentioned that potential bidders in developing countries are barred from participating in many auctions - how damaging is this to the current A&C market?

Answer:
Quote
It is very hard to fully quantify the damage this exclusion does to the A&C market and how many sales are lost. As a starting point, the Codex Consortium (on aggregate) estimates that 1 million bidders were excluded from auctions overall due to lack of access. Not to mention how the decrease in competition may affect items from reaching their full market prices.

These people are making very good partnership with the companies but one thing i want how long they will take for distributing the coins. I can understand they are working very hard in the background but is there any ETA for distribution?

No concrete date as of the moment. Kindly join Codex' Telegram group for future updates: https://t.me/codexprotocol

Here's an excerpt from the article:

One of the biggest drivers of an item’s value is its provenance. Provenance is the history of ownership and identity of an object. It can include auction houses, dealers, or galleries that have sold an item, the private or institutional collections in which the item has been held, and exhibitions where the item has been displayed. It can also include academic research and catalogue raisonné inclusion.

Why does provenance matter?
