Doesn't it seem a little silly for a community oriented coin to have a 2% premine? Seems backwards.
Coino.org user was the Dev, he just up and left. The 2 million premine was left as well. We have not seen or heard from him since then. We the community took over the coin once he left and even fixed the coin when it locked up. So we have earned our right to move this coin forward. It is a community that makes any coin worth its value. Yes, it does suck that Coin(O) had a 2 million premine, but when this coin was released. Premined coins were the thing to do and was seen as added value to the coin to further developments. Not like it is now where a premine almost certainly means that the Devs get rich quick.
I for one hope the premine stays right where it is, I have no interest in removing it from the blockchain or touching it. I kind of view it as a symbol of what not to do with a coin and it is apart of our coins history. Reminds us all to conduct ourselves with honor and respect our fellow Coin(O) members. Above all do so honestly.
I would like to add that CryptoRush is backing up CoinO, we're approaching the 10.000th block found on out pool and can confirm that 1% of those blocks went to us in the form of fees. Apart from that I can also say that I'm keeping some CoinO for myself.
Now without going into details and actual numbers (cant be bothered to check on it on my Saturday off, just being honest
) it's a fact that despite 2% premine and could be dumped there is also a high % of coins that are in firm hands.
In my opinion Coffee Cup is right with what he's saying, it's the community and majority of the community what makes the coin at the long run. What if 2% of a coin would get dumped, yet despite of this happening the strong community would not give in and hold firm. Yes it could form a problem for CoinO if 2% would be dumped, but CoinO has seen problems before and look where you are at now. I would see this problem as a opportunity for the CoinO community to show their support and hold on their coins, refusing to have a 2% dump decrease the price and value, let that spread grow! Get the news out that CoinO has set a record in regarding buy/sell spread, turn the thing around like you guys did so far, and from what I'm seeing, a pretty damn good job so far. At the end of the day CoinO is worth what you think it's worth.
The bad guys only win if the good guys stop caring, usually the good guys got passion on their side, don't loose it due to a thought or possibility that hasn't happened yet.
Hello X3n0X,
As you may have noticed across the last posts, CoinO is going up again
!!!!
I would like to ask you :
- Is there any ETA for CoinO implementation on CryptoRush exchange ?
- Is there any FIAT market planned for CoinO ?
- Is your pool opened to public ? Hamsterpool has more than half the total CoinO network hash rate
...
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Hey Xzed,
I've noticed yeah! To answer your questions:
- CoinO is currently enabled and online in our public beta, we've implemented the first wave of our new UI today as well. Trading is possible!
- No idea if there are plans for this at the moment to my knowledge, so cant explicitly answer that with a yes/no.
- Mining is public yes! you can find the pool at
http://mining.cryptorush.inCheers, if you got any other questions I'm happy to answer them!
