First, I want to emphasize that I am huge supporter for the coin and still keeping my stake. However, I must admit that I would like hear some more about this: "The development team, consisting of 8 people, received 40m, which included some payment to professionals who otherwise would have required $$$." This is the first time I hear that the dev team consists of 8 people and that they all got like 5M.

I don't know where are from those numbers, but I assume that those are result of GatorJMT strange mathematics and assumptions. There is no development team consisting of 8 members, which receiced 40mlj coins overall. GatorJMT was visiting this thread with provocative attacks yesterday and he is the author of your quoted sentences.
Yes brightlight, as fun as it is to walk through life with bag over your head and ignore the obvious, it was not me who wrote that 40M coin nonsense but your own beloved Dev who placed it in the OP, likely as an attempt to do some fuzzy math and fill the gaping holes in his distribution numbers.
Your Dev is a thief of the lowest kind who stole off the hardwork of community members he professes to treat fairly.
Not a single person can defend with any sincerity the Dev's 40M distribution statement. He damned himself with that statement and removed any doubt of his brazen theft.
But now we have ShareCoin, brightligh you have signed up for it, both the Dev's communicators samysamy1 and Majormax have signed up for it. It will have a transparent and open listing of all community members who received a share and the Dev of that coin is extremely talented as evidenced by the QT wallet, website and automated registration method. Now the ShareCoin Dev has even forgone his small pre-mine share and agreed to split it evenly among all the ShareCoin community members.
The price of COMM is headed for 10 - 20 SAT, this is not a buying opportunity, this is rats jumping off a sinking ship and the biggest rat (Dev) jumped long ago.

Gives me what they can't hold cheap, even the 160Satoshi Price is cheap

Following the market price is pointless at this stage.
There are many competing currencies, and money moves to each new one that appears. Real value is only created by structure and projects over a longer timeframe. We know that methods of distribution are the current focus, and there are new and better methods, but that doesn't change the fundamental value.

Yes, the original dev. is not essential, but he is around and working atm. Other COMMunity members (some with new, different ideas) will take up roles that the dev used to fill.
