there are people in the community that have expressed a sincere desire to put this coin back together, please find a way to support those who are willing to serve.

not sure why you want to revive it. Dead is dead. no Zombie coin (and I was a bagholder... for too long actually, didn't made a lot with these free coins... I left after the second multipool debacle... )

What I continue to find comical is how a coin is pronounced DEAD long before it ceases to have value.  Cloak was pronounced dead when her value was about 10K sat.

If a coin has a purpose, and functionality it should be used, as long as it is used it is alive.  Too many people associate high short-term exchange market profitability with 'life', so that once a coin is no longer expected to reach three digits figure profits the coin is dead.  Well if that is the case then BTC is dead and died long ago.  Life is in the utility of the coin.

I was not handling cryptos when all the COMM story happened, so I am buying in moderately as I think (someone already mentioned) it can't get that much cheaper than this, for what I see, it's still all working. It's a matter of putting people together now:) I see this coin as the tippin-coin of the bitcointalk at the very list;P
welcome to the community.
and you're right. the wallet is well developed.
people just lost interest.

I don't know exactly what a roll call is, cause i'm no native english speaker.
But I think it will help to start a discussion if we get and hold this thread on the frontpage :-)

When you were in school there was a student roster for each class that told the teacher who should be in the class, that list is also called an attendance roll.

As you call the names on the list (that is the roll call) you wait for a response, that tells you who are in attendance.

In short, a "roll call" simply is a list of people in support of an effort.

So when you ask: "who wants to help get Community Coin back on its feet?"  the people who respond affirmatively you place on a list as supporters.

That's a whole bunch of reading lol but I'll tell you what I remember...  Cheesy

First you will mostly find in the COMM threads FUD and talk about the supposed "Premine being lost because the HDD failed", then the Dev doing hardly anything and saying you do the work cause we are Community I set bountys for help.

Then Multipools were in process to earn us COMM payouts for mining other coins, it was the start of a good thing !

I was in with the COMM crowd from the start had my 1m COMM then after a lot of arguments in the thread the original receivers (Like me) got an additional 1M COMM, so all up I got 2 Million COMM.

The first Exchange for COMM was allcrypt, Yes allcrypt ! lol
Then it was all a blur after that because of the big COMM community Votes and donations we were pushed to the top on Mintpal and were listed (Mintpal was the best at that time)
Soon after the others listed us too no doubt  Roll Eyes

I remember the price being in the 70sat and then it went to the 120-140sat before tapering off back down to 60sat level, during the rise there was an awful lot of COMM being Dumped but people kept raking it in because it was hard to come by + the PoS inside the wallet earned you more coins with however many you had to stake  Smiley Backed by an ever growing COMMunity.

We got Listed on a wide range of places, COMM was even on CoinPayments.net so Merchants can use their Payment Processor and accept COMM payments equivalent to the Live Exchange price.

COMM was on Coaex Precious Metals website, there was a card design made from the Graphics of the COMMunityCoin logo packaged with a 1gram IGR 999.9 Fine Gold bar, I seriously considered getting one with COMM as a Payment but didn't sadly Cry

Eventually I was holding 1M and only sold 1M + the PoS interest on my coins yet I was selling at the very beginning (to Distribute) and on the way down 80-60sat right before the crash.

When it was time to sell my remaining COMM it was in the 30-45satoshi mark and I was done unfortunately....

Since it was Free & Looking at the price now, the amount of coins in circulation plus the massive bag holders gaining more & more coins if it still does even stake, It was a pretty good time to get out, I got 2BTC all up, My first 2 whole Bitcoins ever, I was a happy chappy Grin

That's my story with COMM, now it starts again  Smiley

Looking at things now there would have to be new plans & developments, features to the wallets and use + a redistribution of COMM or something to make it fair & get people back on the COMM horse, like you said you would have to find the Big COMM holders to arrange something like that, but that's just 1 idea...

I finally synced the COMM wallet as I had too many different wallets running at the same time to catch up quick enough with COMM so I let it be the only one run for a while, without bootstrap or anything with my original wallet.

I had 60 odd COMM in there unsynced once it synced up I received my payment of 100 or so coins that I found in an old Multipool balance I was registered with, (Imagine that) lol

I have yet to be able to stake anything and my wallet is unlocked, does the wallet still produce PoS rewards ?

I'm one of the new admins at EMC2, I'm here to offer your coin and community some assistance.    I will also extend this offer to a few other coins .

Just over a month ago we were at the same position you are in today, in very desperate need of help but turned away by everyone we felt could do something because they were: "working on another project at the moment".   I'm not offering magic, I'm offering a responsible plan to stable redevelopment, it's slow but reliable.

Join EMC2 as a strategic partner to combine resources in an organized fashion to get the most bang out of our limited time, money, and energy.   We simply help one another in ways that we can, one may have time but no money, or energy but no time, or money but no time or energy, the point is you figure out what you have to offer and what you need to have, then work together to improve all involved.   It's likely that your coin needs coding, management, marketing, security, and/or more CC community recognition, some of those things EMC2 could help with immediately, some others may need to come from another strategic partner.

Our resources are also limited, but right now we are ready, willing, and able to help you, let me know if you want to join us as a strategic partner.

First thing I'm recommending is a reconciliation of resources -- know what you have.  Starting with your greatest resource, human resource, do a roll call to know how many people are willing to help get this community back on its feet.

With that knowledge an election will be conducted to elect leaders.  These two steps seem simple, but for a fractured community each step takes massive amounts of energy.

At this point you should find others who you believe are also committed community members willing to take on some additional responsibilities with the coin.  The goal at this point is only a roll call to know who is in the picture.

For a coin of this size and condition, it would be great to get a core of 20 people and a leadership of 7.   You are going to need a minimum of 3 people to get started just to do a proper roll call.
