What happens to the stake on the 500+ million you haven't distributed so far?
It must be at least 4-5 million by now,if its being staked everyday.
Are you going to keep them or distribute as stakes?
If you are going to keep them, that might explain why this distribution is taking sooo looooong to complete.
Personally I think you should keep it yourself, for your development and continued support of this coin.

My 1 million only stacked me 3000 over the last few days so 500mil will get him 1.5mil if we are stacking the same rate
You gave a wrong estimation.
The dev had > 500mil from the very beginning. And the total interest generated so far is about 1.0087bil - 1 bil = 8.7 mil.
I estimate that the dev owned most of them: about 5-6 mil. Now you know why it's so slow to distribute.
Obviously, the dev will eat all the interest ( about 5-6 stakes). Remember it's far from the end of the distribution!
1 mil coins can mint about 800 COMMs per day. 500mil coins can generate about 0.4 mil COMMs per day!
He can eat one stake per 2.5 days! That's the FACT.
That is another reason the dev keeping the distribution slow. He will eat more and more!
That's FAIR.

There may be accounts which are not staking at present, so this amount could go higher.

I have to test how is it with some load, so it is in testmode yet...
You guys can try the faucet but no coins will be sent for a (hopefully short) while. If no major bug were found I can send the coins for the requests made during testmode, but there is no guarantee at all until the next announce.
The address for donations is alright though and donations made to it will be used for the faucet as long as it lasts. If anyone want to donate/tip me, please send it to my address instead (it is in my profile).

I have made some changes... Will move some resources to the wallet and enable the faucet to distribute coins starting in some minutes.
It will be random values between 1 and 5 COMMs just to see how fast/slow the funds will go. Depending on the speed I will adjust it.

What about my status? As we spoke on the other Re:[ANN] thread.
i applied at he old version (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.5985540). Just before you started the online application form. With the old rules. I posted on btc post (as linked above on March 30, 2014, 10:42:22AM) and made a facebook post with with a wallet. then after few days when i realize i was not getting my coins i came to check back on the thread that was locked i saw that you guys issued this online application. Thinking since i did not receive those coins i should fill the forms online. Unfortunately when i applied online and made a mistake to put a new wallet address and not the one posted on facebook. i explain this to you on the Re[ANN] thread. i replied on facebook post with the new address that was used on the online application. Not sure what else i can do anymore.
