I am quite sceptical about this one, and I even don't believe that the dev will come back (it's just how I feel it). On the other hand, maybe probably he remains silent and he is trying to accumulate cheap coins. One thing is for sure - currently market is not interested in COV (look at the buy orders). I'm not a gambler in crypto, but I have accumulated about 1200 coins after I bought lower/sold higher and added few extra BTC.

It looks like the dev is creating a coin based on the ability to port code.

Really...IOT functions when you are likely waiting on ethereum or whomever will supply an open source?  Are we just waiting for other devs to do the work for this coin?

It's cool...perhaps it is a credit to the alt coin market that the low supply didn't moon for you...

Sold...and at a loss.  I'm cool with that.

At least your back-posts show you walk the talk. You support a pretty clear set of innovative coins.

But every coin starts as a port. Even VNL is a fairly transparent port from PPC to a better-written code base (with some definite improvements to the functionality).

I could be wrong about COV and am willing to admit it.  But there is a difference between waiting for improvements and coding them.  Promising IOT when ethereum gets done with it was kind of a red flag for me.

VNL is in a different ballpark...and if I am wrong then I'm still cool with that.  But I kind of doubt it....

I am one of those guys who placed less than what I could afford to lose in crypto...and Maid hasn't sat on the scene yet...Wink

I'm sure he made more than 1 BTC, I did with only a small percentage of coins.  I have no doubt he made a nice profit for the amount of work put into this coin.

It is entirely possible that this is a shakeout and he will pump this coin nice and high, but at this point I don't think anyone but miners profited.  It would make more sense to just dump what he mined and moved on since there are now bagholders at -50%+ who want out.

There just isn't enough volume in alts right now to justify a huge pump.  Be honest with yourselves, this coin has no value, just a low coin count.  I saw this before with Vault which was dumped to hell with only 1500 coins and eventually delisted from exchanges.

My mining cost for this coin was only .00018000 so it would not surprise me if dev has already dumped and moved on.  He could have had an easy 5-10x exit already.

If he puts in a couple of releases he could have a 200-300x exit. The most he could have made was 1 BTC. Why not 100?

indeed why not 100 btc... or to keep at it and develop this to it's full potential, I don't need the dev to hold my hand while he's working... but an update everyday or so could go a long way... the blockchain is deff moving a lot faster today Cool

Hm. Right. Look it up, it's a different procedure if you're on windows, mac or linux.

There is a -coinname-.conf file in a folder where the blockchain is stored. You need to shut down the wallet, manually delete the files that pertain to the chain, NEVER EVER delete your wallet.dat file, restart the wallet so the chain can catch up with the network.

Thanks that worked for the sync cancelled that previous transaction cost me that .005 cov i mined though haha

Its good opportunity for the developer to buy COV coins now as the prices are low. More coins the dev holds, the more interest and progress he makes like DASH (Dark Coin).

Ha it's a good opportunity for me too  Cool if COV would have skyrocketed the first few days I would only have 40 or 50 of them thanks to these low prices these last days I'm well on my way to having 200 of them.

Well I can tell you this: if nothing's delivered in 3 days and 21 hours this will get dumped harder than it's already gotten dumped from it's ATH. Hopefully something gets completed soon. Some of us have already lost 75% of our "investment". Again, since coin's so rare, if dev delivers just a little bit price should go up. It "should". But hey, this is crypto. Nothing makes any sense lol

what happens in 3 days and 21 hrs? if the dev delivers and the price doesn't go up then that would be our fault for not getting the word out and being a productive community.

if people sit on their hands expecting it to happen for them instead of helping then it makes a lot of sense Wink

a low price while in development is good, it allows more people to come in on the ground floor and the more that floor is spread out the better the potential of the coin will be in it's coming weeks/months
