If anyone wants this speak up. I'm only doing this once as I have no intentions of forking, but I will
continue to try to integrate argon2 into cpuminer multi.

I'd be interested, please PM me a link. Thanks

Slight change in direction see pallas's post above.

I'm mining scrypt-jane on all my CPU's so it would be very interesting to see the boost
and maybe have a windows version since all my rigs are on W7 at this time, 1 with W10.

What are you using to mine sj? I'm a scrounge, can't help it.
What ever comes in the NiceHashMiner_v1.2.2.2\bin package. Haven't noted the version or who built it.
Edit: cpuminer-muti 1.1

Thanks for your efforts.
But testzcrypto version is not the fastest publicly available Argon2 miner.

Do you mean OPES? Found it, will follow up. Looks like a fork of testzcrypto.

This one:

https://github.com/Encel-US/cpuminer-multi

It includes teztcrypto optisation plus some scrypt-Jane.

Also can't wait to test 3.0. Will be on the lookout for your update.

Thanks for the tip and for following.

Considering some of the other algos I'm improving are so mature it was refreshing to
be on the leading edge, even if only briefly.

I noticed it includes scrypt-jane (as does testzcrypto). I don't know if it's suitable as a
standalone algo but I might get around to trying.

3.0 coming within a couple of hours, just tidying up the rel ann.

I've stopped going around in circles, a few issues are going to have to wait. Unfortunately
windows is still one of them. I have one more idea but it's going to be tedius so I need
a full charge before diving into that again.

I'm starting to ready v3.0 which will contain the new branding. v3.0 also includes more hash
rate increases, nothing spectacular but significant.

A few more algos are being supported and a few others have been enabled but not tested
or officially supported yet.

all supported algos have been tested and submit valid shares, unless otherwise noted. When
unsupported algos show up on pools I will test them and update their status.

Look for the details in the release announcement within the next 24 hrs.

Following v3.0 I will investigate optimizations in newly supported algos as well as optimizations
in the new algos that can be applied to existinng algos.

A code cleanup is also in the plan. The compile is getting very slow.

There is no timetable beyond v3.0, 3.0.1 will be released when there is a good reason for it.

I also have a special one time bonus offer. I have a copy of cpuminer-multi-argon2 by testzcrypto
and have boosted the hash rate 20%. I'm having problems integrating it into cpuminer-opt
so I am willing to release a standalone optimized version. A windows verison should aslo be available
though I haven't actually tested it yet.

If anyone wants this speak up. I'm only doing this once as I have no intentions of forking, but I will
continue to try to integrate argon2 into cpuminer multi.

Good luck with the next release. As for the optinizedSoloMiner that is ProtoShares miner
I can't remember if it was both CPU & GPU or just for one or the other. I mined it for a short while.
Thanks for your hard work on this.

Sure can let me get to my other laptop where they are so I can be sure the version numbers I post are correct.

Forget the AMD stuff.

This is pretty much a full list of miners I've tested over time -AMD and - the rest of the SP_mods. -10% that was deleted for being useful.

Thanks for the list. I have most of the cpuminers in there. I'll look around the net for a couple that I've never seen before.
It's a long shot but that's how I improved cpuminer, picking the best pieces of many miners.
If there's anything I can't find on my own I'll let you know.

On to release 3.0.

Edit: here is pretty much the full list of what I have on this rig, shop rigs have many more.
I hardly ever delete anything and the biggest reason most of my HDD's are so full. lol
Forgot to mention everything I have is open source and public free miners. I have no private miners.
Only reason I said anything is because some of I have may no longer be able to be found for download.

Good luck with neo, its the same headache on ccminer, so i dont touch it Wink

I couldn't believe it but now I can't reproduce the same hashrate on the original.
Time to put it aside and clear my head. I'm a little frustrated with the problems
with windows compile, grs, and now neoscrypt.

I'll take another crack at it when my head is clear. Moving on.
I found a few cpu miners, neoscrypt based & a few other I zipped into one package for you.
Not sure if they will be of any help, I also have some GPU neoscrypt miner 3.7.8 & below if
you'd like to take at look at those I can add them to the same zip package & host them somewhere?

8 TH didn't get much better results +100 or so, test picture below. As you can see the VB didn't fully
load the cpu 100% so the top numbers this setup could do isn't shown with this miner threw VM.

Edit: Strange while I was off in the windows OS getting this post ready the speed & load on the CPU improved
to around 98/99% load, temps were about the same.

Thanks for posting your results,

Can you give me a list of the miners you've found? That will save some time testing all of them because
I probably already have a few of them.

New release coming real soon with hash rate increases in all algos and a new one.

Another update on neoscrypt. More bad news but some potentially great news.

First the design is much more complicated as it supports 4 ooptimizing options that can be
mixed. That makes 2**4 combinations if they are all valid, which I don't think is the case.
However, it looks like my posted speed test was done with all options disabled, likely the
most compatible but slowest configuration. Yet this was still faster than v2.0.

Unfortunately the options I coded (all enabled) didn't work. I now have to take a step back
and do some testing on the original cpuminer-neoscrypt to find out what combitions work and
which is the fastest.

No new release for a while.
