It would be awesome if we had a way to easily just create a darknode on a AWS or DO VPS... On windows it's saying successfully started, but I'm still not seeing anything for hours.

Do you have iptables/firewall running? Did you put in a rule to allow the port? Did you configure the port mapping correctly in your torrc file? Also, no apache server is needed....

You CAN stake. A portion of the stake reward goes to the masternodes. But you can continue to stake as usual.
