Good afternoon,

I would like to let you know that CROAT is the first time I have ever mined a full coin!

I am just starting and do not have much mining power to throw around but it is fun.

Thank you for popping my crypto mining cherry! LOL

Hello,

I would like to buy some CROAT's. I see that it is not yet listed in exchange.
Could someone sell me some privately?
What do I have to do to contact and negotiate a price?

I also have some shops in Barcelona and I would like to know what I have to do in order to accept CROAT's in my transactions?

Thanks,

Josep

Please contact us through our website to discuss our plans for merchants.
Also, be careful with transactions made privately, protect yourself from scams! If you're not in a hurry to have lots of Croats now, you could start mining and wait until Croat gets listed in an exchange.

Glad that the developer is starting to respond again and developments are continuing on.

In regards to your overall vision, have there been any merchants who are open to the idea of using CROAT as a method of payment?

Developments are going on for sure! Smiley

We already have a list of merchants that want to be early adopters of Croat. Some of them even want to sell items for Croat before it gets a real monetary value, which we think is awesome!

Soon we'll be able to see this happening! Hang on!

To all of you asking about exchanges:

This process takes time for any new coin and it's perfectly normal. It's obvious no exchange will include it without some previous due diligence, and that requires some time and some exposure. We are talking about serious exchanges, not those that only seem to make a business out of listing coins. Apart from that, many exchanges lack Cryptonote coins support.

The moment of exchange listing will come, hopefully sooner rather than later. But it's not worrying at all that we're not listed yet. Croat has practically just been launched. What is extremely encouraging is that we have many people who are pressing us and sending messages that they want to buy Croat straight away! So, those of you who have mined Croats will be able to make some profit as soon as Croat gets listed.

Don't worry, as soon as we have news on exchanges, you will be among the first to know!

Until then, please keep spreading the word. It's the most helpful thing in order to get listed! Smiley

I already compiled the source from the github, but then I realize that "CROATCore" is missing. The problem is that I have Ubuntu 15.04, so the files for Ubuntu 16.04 doesn't help me.

Is there a way to compile the entire wallet files from source (including the CROATCore)?

Thanks in advance.

CROATCore is not compatible with Ubuntu 15.04. Only with 16.04. If you want to compile the files from source, you could try to update your Ubuntu version to 16.04, which is also a long-term supported version.

Mining look really interesting for the result. but it is also need a huge resources to do it.
Good luck miners.

Not really. That was the main idea of Croat!

Why don't you try a mining pool if you have a very weak system?

Croat Mining Pools

We have published on our main page the active mining pools for Croat. We will keep updating this list. Please check: http://croat.cat/en/home/#eco

Together with the latest CROATCore version, starting from now, it will be extremely easy to mine in official (and non-official) pools, with just a few steps:

You can choose either CPU power or GPU for mining.
In order to use your GPU for mining you have to make sure you have an NVIDIA video card with the latest CUDA drivers installed.
This mining option is more efficient than CPU.
Find a pool that supports Croat mining (check our main page for several options).
On each pool webpage (usually on the getting started tab) you should be able to find the following parameters and enter them in the CROATCore pool mining fields:
pool IP (something like 11.22.33.44)
pool password: if no password is specified, enter “x”. If this doesn’t work, contact the pool owners
port (something like 3333 or 5555 or 7777). Make sure you select the most adequate port according to your system hardware (for example: 3333 is for low-end hardware, 5555 is for mid-range hardware and 7777 for high performance hardware). These options should be specified on the pool’s webpage.

… and you’re done!

Happy mining!

New CROATCore versions released!

The new versions for Windows, MacOS and Linux are already  available in our downloads section: http://croat.cat/en/home/#downloads.

What's new in version 1.10/2017-09-05:

- Optimized CPU pool mining settings: CROATCore now allows the user to control how much of their CPU resources should be dedicated to pool mining.

- Pool Mining settings are now saved in order to expedite future pool mining sessions when exiting/loading CROATCore.

- Small bug fixes

We recommend to update your CROATCore to the latest version as soon as possible, in order to avoid any problems.

An update was made to the source wallet, which is why late payments.

In the course of today, all payments will go back to normal.

Something went wrong this night with the pool, I think no payments were made ? The "total paid" and "balance" are frozen for about 10 hours although
the Hash Rate fluctuates and "total hases" went up ?

It is suggested that some campaigns or aerial activities be released to increase interaction, because the community is not lively, and practical cooperation is a good start
