I join the mining pool with my rig

I have one suggestion for the official pool. While I was mining Monero using pool minexmr.com I noticed that they have one really useful feature on the pool - I can see the list of my workers! That's very useful feature if someone have more than one mining rig because I can see if certain rig is working and what is it's hashrate. The way I did it with minexmr.com is that I append ".WorkerName" to my wallet's address (so my wallet address look like WALLET_ADDRESS.MiningRig01). I believe that croat.pool.cat poll uses the same software, I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to implement this, and it would be very useful for miners with many rigs.

We are aware that many Cryptonote coins have failed, and this is also the case for many other coins, regardless of their algorithm. The success of a coin depends on so many factors! Croat is a completely different story. The main difference Croat has, compared to other coins, is that it has a very definite market, a whole community of 7.5 million people behind, an ideology, a history. We, Catalans are very proud of our language, culture and identity. 

Catalans will adopt this coin gladly, because it represents us. There already are lots of Catalans telling us that they don’t want to mine the coin, since it’s too difficult for them to even grasp some concepts, but they do want to buy Croats right now and spend them in local shops. Several store owners have also contacted us because they want to start accepting Croat as a means of payment. Some have even told us that they are willing to give products "for free” in exchange for Croats, such as bread, pens, T-shirts etc, even before Croat gets a real monetary value, as a sign of support for the coin. We think this is an amazing answer from the community so soon after Croat's launch!

Non-catalans will adopt Croat mainly because of two reasons: the first one is showing sympathy and admiration for the Catalan people, our culture, values and identity. Not only Barcelona, but all Catalonia is known for being very cosmopolitan, there’s a very strong presence of foreigners here, most of them young and tech-savy, who don’t have a problem understanding the concept of cryptocurrency. These foreigners have families and connections abroad, so it’s very easy for the news to spread. The second reason is much more practical: business. People who simply don't care about Catalonia will still be able to see what a huge potential Croat has, because its strong social demand. So, even if openly they will manifest against it, everyone is still marked by the idea that 100 USD in Bitcoins could transform so easily in many millions in just a few years and most of them got to the party too late...

The whole process of a coin's development, growth and market explosion takes some very necessary steps and it takes some time. We'll get there, sooner that most of you actually expect! Everything needs to be done at the right moment.

Unfortunately, it looks like croat.mine-pool.ro is not functioning anymore. This is not an official pool, it was created by one of our users. We have absolutely no control nor any type of influence over the fate of these pools. Of course, we try to assist all pool developers who contact us for technical issues, but besides that, it's out of our hands. We're sorry if some of you lost valuable hashing time and power, but besides trying to contact the pool owners, there's little more that can be done. This is a consequence of a community-based coin. It's decentralized, so pools will appear, disappear and be replaced by new ones. This is perfectly normal.

Pool 5 is also experiencing some technical issues. We are in contact with the pool developers, to help them sort things out.

There are at this moment 3 pools which are working perfectly. Pool 1 (https://croat.pool.cat/) and 2 (http://178.22.66.126/) are official and pool 4 (http://croat.globalpool.cc/) is a user-created, unofficial, international pool. There have been no problems reported with any of these pools.
We have removed pool 3 (croat.mine-pool.ro) from our website and the announcement post, since there is no sign at this point that it's going to be supported anymore. If this situation changes, we will update everyone. We will keep Pool 5 (http://croat.pools.e-scavo.net.ar/croat_site/) on the website to give a little more time to the developers to sort out the technical issues.

I don't know about other pools, but I mine CROAT on official pool (croat.pool.cat) and I haven't experienced any problems so far. I just hope the coin gets listed on some exchange and that it actually has some value

It's just my opinion, i also had a little CROAT about 10k and i also hope CROAT can list on some exchanges guys!

Iridium, Amero +, B2B, Sikka, Xunc, Charnacoin, Meduza... Croat

Yes, there are a lot of news Criptonote coins, and some have the same problems... (stop pools) or worse (blockchain stop, forks, one block mined 20 times...)  but Croat have 5 pools, (the 2 officials ones work perfect) and you could solo mining, because the blockchain are ok, only one no official pool are stopped, I think, that this is a "minor" error.

It's possible that no one of the news Criptonote coins have future or come to a exchange, and all the 40k   Croats will be 0,00$. If you want rentability go to mine Monero or Aeon. Mining news coins it's a question of hope.

Croat updates: Android and iOS apps – preview

We're working on the apps for Android and iOS. They will be ready very soon. Here is a small preview of what they will look like:




As they are still a work in progress, some changes compared to the final version are possible.


The apps will allow users to make transfers / payments on the go, very quickly and easily, as well as consult a wallet's balance.

They will also allow merchants to start accepting payments in Croat in exchange for various products and services, while their clients will be able to make instantaneous and secure payments straight from their phone. This will allow Croat to get listed in exchanges earlier.

The apps will not be usable for Croat mining, since a phone's hardware capacity is not enough. They will simply be an instrument for transactions and reviewing.
