you are probably wrong, if you think that people dont care.
Neither you or anyone else would be in these forums, if rates did not matter.

Also, an FYI: this thread is not a place for up-to-date info.
The only place available is the irc channel, where anyone interested can ask the devs and the owners anything.

There are well over 150 people there daily, lurking.

This thread has been started by the former CR staff, has been abandoned by them, and we are only speculating about everything here/

Guys to be frank I don't think anyone cares about exchange rates or what currency you tally the losses caused by the site's problems, for the purposes of this thread. Let's stick to talking about CryptoRush and whether they are legitimately returning or just stalling to buy more time, etc... or other news about the exchange.

yes rates fluctuate.
Due to the fact that they fluctuate, i would suggest you count losses in coins, and not fiat.

Trying to make things worse than they are is not helping anyone and you know it.

How is using one currency vs the other worse or better?

Nobody is denying anything. Its the context that is wrong.
If one loses fiat, he should count fiat, if one loses coins, he should count coins.

If btc crashed tomorrow, and its price went back to 2009 levels, 3000 coins would not be an issue.
Now that people see btc in the 400-500 usd, they like to talk of millions.

I;m simply pointing out the issue. Coins were lost, not fiat.

Coin price fluctuates, so if you keep talking about fiat, you talk of a million today, ten tomorrow, and maybe nothing in two days.

But if we talk about x coins lost, then the number IS ALWAYS PERSISTENT. Persistent, accurate and depicting the truth.

Fiat might sound awesome when talking about profit or losses, but it is not. Its just a way to throw some emotion into an otherwise baseless argument.

This point is true, and I agree with the methodology. I merely used USD for the reasons I said before.

I still stand behind my point, it was no small amount. Unfortunately.

How is using one currency vs the other worse or better? Just because there are more/fewer zeroes attached to it? You may think that it is appropriate to count coins, but some people were expecting to cash those coins into fiat back in March, so obviously they will be counting their losses in fiat. You denying that is not going to make their loss smaller.

I used USD because it's the standard for trading. Rubles is not.

There's nothing to get over, at least on my end.

Okaynow? Wink

see, now you are accusing me, just because i disagree with you.

Its very simple. Coins were stolen. Not a million fiat.
So, count the losses in coins, because fiat means shit to most.

Making it sound like a billion is easier if you use rubles, hence my first comment towards you.

EDIT: or do yourself a favor, sinc eyou could care less, use 2009 rates, and get over it.
How about that?

Dude you need to chill, I'm not trying to make anything worse. I could care less what happens to CR, just reminding people that it wasn't a small amount that they owe.

Stop presuming upon intention. As objective as you try to stay, you always defend their actions. Sure makes me wonder what your gamble in this is.

Yeah you ever notice that bitcoin rates do fluctuate?

Depending on the value of BTC/USD it has historically been between $800k-$1.2M/usd. I mean if you have to nitpick, I'm off by a few dollars. My apologies. The fact remains they can't ever pay it back. The money was tumbled out long ago, and they'll never in their lifetimes see that much earnings from exchange fees.

And they know it.

As far as I know some new people are trying to revive it and it will take a while for them to pay the funds back to people

Awhile is an understatement. It's impossible, unless they hit the lottery. $1-$1.2M/usd in bitcoin alone, not to mention litecoin and the other altcoins.

Funny how the rates you pick change every other day.
How about counting it in rubles, sounds way more.

And before one more alt in here accuses me of being paid because i dont agree with their opinion, please, do yourself a favor and understand this simple issue:

The only place to have updated info is the irc channel, where one can ask the devs and owners any questions.

This thread is not used by CR anymore for updates. Current CR does not control this thread.

Legal or illegal Im watchin very closely, I can understand it will take time but these new people who have taken over will be just as bad of they can't repay everyone, if you can't pay everyone then should have never taken this on just open your own new exchange.

But I will give these new people the benefit of the doubt

Crypto rush better give me my 3.7 btc which they currently hold or stole from me. Im watching them closely and if I don't get it back in the near future I will use my and other people's skills to get crypto rush shut down for ever!

Can't say I think stating something like that is wise from a legal point of view.

Bitcoin will survive
Sneak preview of what exactly, a template that a slave-laborer in a 3rd-world country could have set up in about 10 minutes?
Is there any update available for site or still under maintenance
