Well while everyone is focusing on price and pump drama here in this thread, a couple pretty informative posts in the Whale Lounge from Thursday the last days concerning the Culling. Here is a snip from today about strategy and deal structuring within the Culling:

Just to pick up on where I left off - -

So basically the main vehiclee of the Culling is the Buy-Sell mechanic of the agreements. What this means in simplest terms, is that any deal you offer, can be instantly accepted in one of two ways: as you offered it, be it a buy or a sell.  _or in the opposite way_   that is, the other fella can immediately close the deal in reverse at the exact same terms you offer.

So for example, that ole Coin Flipper fella,  he says to me, Thursday, I will give you 2 btc for 20,000  circuits.  I can then then either say, well thank you, that's a might fine offer, I will take you up on that - or I can say Coin Flipper, that's a reatehr interesting opinion you have about how much 20,000 Circuits is worth,  I believe I will give you 2 btc for 20,000 circuits. And the deal goes the opposite way.

Whoever makes the initial offer buts up both amounts in the escrow, and the escrow agent simply executes the second person's decision.

Now I am describing a very simple example. But you can get very creative with this. Because anything can be in the offer. Lets say that Oz feller, he is a smart fox and has something up his sleeve. He says, hey there Coin Flipper, i will give you 2 btc for 20,000 circuits five days from now if the CIRC Bittrex price is more than 10 % higher that 1200 GMT today. And that ole CoinFlipper he thinks, well my bots can put that Bittrex price up 10% without me even breakin a sweat. And he says ok. But then meanwhile, unbeknownst to CoinFlipper, ole Oz enters a second agreement for twice the amount with that BubbaGumption guy, predicated on the Trex price being 10% higher - 'cuz he knows he just got Bob all fired up to bot it in that direction.  Now Oz he gotta be careful how he does things - cuz anyone can demand his terms right back anytime. But if OZ is a smart feller, he can put together two or three deals that hedge very nicely against each other - some public, some private.  Cause whoever makes the initial deal specifies the terms of publicity of both the deal results and the escrow.

So you see where this is going. It is a bit of anything goes combined with very specific rules.  And the folks in the Whale Lounge are in the position of providing escrows at whatever terms of price, speed, and personal reputation they decide.

A buy sell is an offer that says I will A for B under  this condition (insert condition or creative deal or futures position or what have you here).  It is unlimited what a man can build into the deal. But it can be turned right back on him.  So he has to be careful. But if he is a smart fella he can also trap people that way.

You can even build in conditions like network staking weight and so on.  So the smart fellas who are watching the DPOS and such can also profit in different ways.

Another skill that will payoff nicely is  studying the changes in distribution and what's happening with the block explorer during these 30 days. I 'spect alot of these deals will be done dark, and to really see what is happening - and judge the correct off -market price - folks will want to watch such things very closely.
