I thought if they will manage to gain their special audience they may avoid competition. However, they need some unique stuff for that
I think they can do that, I think there some under the radar films that netflix or any video stream platform missed. So this can be win win situation.
A unique crowd for cryptoflix and a platform for special audiences.
My bet would go with high quality production made by themself. Everyone can rent a blockbuster movie but if you produce oyur own stuff. Maybe some real good book/comic/manga adaptions nobody else wants to do....

Isn't that exactly the thing they plan to do with the option to crowdfund movie projects? I mean, they are not exactly making their own movies but giving producers the possibility to realize projects that won't be recorded otherwise.
They themselves are filmmakers so who knows, maybe in future they'll also produce their own movies.
Don't think they will every make films, the platform is there but not for themselves i guess.

You are trying to curtail piracy by watermarking copies of films with an ID linked to a payment on the blockchain. What happens when you have found the payment? In many cases purchases of pirated content are done with stolen credit cards.
I think it's time to give up on the notion of stopping piracy from happening. it's not gonna happen. best if the dev's focus on having a good platform , rather than ineffective anti-piracy measures.
Exactly, no platform can stop piracy completely or even more, stop purchases with a stolen credit card. In my opinion that is also a job of the creditcard company not Cryptoflix. Just offer a platform that is much more user friendly then pirating. I pirate only when the legal offer is more work for me then pirating.

I don't understand your question, if you purchase a movie on cryptoflix how it can be pirated? It's not a decentralized platform, movies are stored on their own storage

I like there there is already a demo/alpha product online (https://platform.cryptoflix.io/) for us to look at. Really shows the commitment of the team. Cryptoflix is a clear case where blockchain can be used to cut out all the middlemen and thereby rewarding both the consumers and producers of the content.

There's a Dunkirk Trailer there. Streams better than other services.
I watched this movie. I did not like him. A long and boring film. I wonder if there will be serials on this platform. It would be nice.

Anyways, to adoid any stiff competition, they decided wisely to start from the countries where similar services not so popular. Moreover, I can see other differences between Net- and CryptoFlix
This decision is undoubtedly a good move, but it is not necessary to delay much with access to the international arena. Otherwise, the interest in this project may overheat!with that strategy you can make final touches to your app/website with customer feedbacks and enter the highly competitive market when you are more than ready before.
imo this is the right way
If Cryproflix offers you everything that Net-offers and more, it will definitely have a guaranteed success.
It is a very good idea, occupying the market with a lower competition because it will not have too many obstacles.
I also like the idea of helping filmmakers, some not having enough funds to implement their projects, some being very good.
I've seen enough low-budget movies, better than some that have had a fairly high funding.
Isn't the latter something that SingularTV does as well?

Yeah, I would love to see some partnership with VR projects like Vibe etc.
Actually, I invested in Vibe and had good returns, It would be a good partnership, with a Team committed to throwing them up. But there are many other opportunities for partnership, and perhaps a project with Ico active is a better partner at the moment, both would have the same interest with partner of different but complementary platforms
I have one question. How are you going to get agreements to produce the movies?

You can reduce it with good services. Cryptoflix can be one of this.
