Yes my CGMiner connects to QT for solo mining, just there is almost no chance to quickly find any block solo with my hardware: 1x6770 Grin

Edit: by the way, is there any profit calculator planned?.. It would be interesting to see how much coins we can generate per day/h...

On your picture I can see ver. of cgminer 3.6.6, working version is 3.7.3.
Also from picture I can see the port 9088, but port for CateDoge QT rpcport=5108.
So you are doing it definitely wrong.

Does solo work for you?

1. You're using an outdated cgminer. Step up to 3.7.3 which apparently works.
2. Use the right ports. It will never work if you keep using that wrong port..

port is on bat and conf 9088
port 5108 is blocked for me
