@cayars: I have been using nvminer since a day or so after you released it, and everything has been fine. However, yesterday, it suddenly started incorrectly reporting all my cards as GTX 660's (I have 2x EVGA GTX 660's and 2x EVGA GTX 750Ti's). It had been reporting correctly all the time before it started this. All of the other versions that I have (I have most of them) are still reporting correctly. Re-booting the system, and disabling/re-enabling the cards have had no effect on this behavior. Any ideas???

That is strange indeed.  My gut feeling is that it's a driver issue/glitch.

What does GPU-Z report as the card type?

I'm new of mining and bitcoin. I would like to know if mining is still profitable in term earning/cost (hardware and electricity). I have three video cards and solar panels, but I don't want to waste energy. The video cards are: nvidia geforce gtx Titan GK110, geforce gtx 670 GK104 and geforce 8400 gt Smiley-. What is the best software for mining on linux? Cudaminer or cgminer?

I found that the best parameters for Titan are these cudaminer -r 10 -R 30 -T 30 -H 1 -i 0 -m 1 -d 0 -l K14x32 --no-autotune or these  cudaminer -d 0 -i 0 -C 2 -l K14x18.
What is the best mining pool?

Thank you

its not that easy to start. first you have to decide which coin / algo you would like to mine.
the profitablity varys a lot. then you have to use the right miner for the coin/algo... ccminer or cudaminer.
for a first impression if it could be profitable for you take a look at http://whatmine.com/ - but use the right numbers for your hardware (--benchmark) and the right values for power consumption.

if your mining with nvidia then you should ALWAYS be using ccminer or cudaminer

Again a notice to the following people

Message me for your login details to cudamining.cc
So far cayars has his and has been using it, i like the new description for your release by the way Wink
djm34 has his logins but has yet to submit anything

Just for interest here is what I am getting at the moment. On a 750 GTX Ti running djm34's latest fork off ccminer (https://github.com/djm34/ccminer) compiled with CUDA 6.0.
Per card of course, and rounded down.

X11    2,300k/s
X13    1,800k/s (about 50w)
x15    1,200k/s
Nist5  7,500k/s (about 54w)

I have tried various versions with CUDA 6.0 and 5.5 but its really hard to see any difference.

I am sticking on TradeMyBit at the moment with a homemade switcher that is flipping between X13 and Nist5 most of the time

I'm using this Mod v1.02-X13-version - 12/06/2014 she works for x11 x13 and x11 doing more in 2.200k / s

I can't recall if v1.02 contains the improved groestl implementation. Give v1.2 a try and you might see an improvement with both x11 and x13.

Did you read the OP message?

Installation requirements:
- a recent nVidia driver supporting at least CUDA 5.5
- Visual Studio 2010 SP1 redistributable (redist). Install when MSVCR100.DLL is not found.
  http://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=8328  (x86)
  http://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=13523  (x64)

Install both of them and it should work for you.  If not reboot and try again.

Carlo

It worked thank you friend.

Another question as I leave in EVGAPrecisionX min to make overclocking the card and a evga 750ti SC, as I leave the over clock?

Here is giving 2,200 K / s to do to reach the 2,700 k / s x11

Which version are you using? 1.1 and above should have the "enhanced" x11 implementation. I believe 1.2 should have both x13 and the enhanced x11. nvMiner should have it all but I have never used it so can't say for sure.

hi

when i see,  on 750ti, 12 mhs myr groestl pour 30-35 w ,
possible to  optimize ccminer to get the max tdp 70W ?
wait for new nvidia drivers?  it they want to optimize them to minage?

I think what he is asking is when will ccminer get optimized to pull closer to its max tdp thereby increasing the hash rate.

If I remember correctly, part of the groestl algo gets pushed onto the cpu, which is why the power consumption on JPC fluctuates.  If this is correct, you'll never see max tdp on myr-grs as its faster to do some of the computing on the cpu.

I stand corrected  Grin

hi  this is what i mean Smiley

hope 20 mh groestl ,5 mh for x11 .... for 70w power?
don't dream too much though Grin
I think you could gain a few percents may-be... More power means you will have more power to sustain higher core clock without throttling (but obviously there are some limits to what you can put on the core clock).
