Is the blockchain download for Monero really 10GB to download already?

That's crazy...

...and I just stopped the blockchain syncing since I don't have 10Gb spare on the drive I set it up on. Going to need to restart (only lost about 20mins) on a larger partition Cheesy

That's crazy...

Try duckNote its less than 200mb, almost one month alive. http://ducknote.org https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/xdn-ducknote-ann-anonymous-cpu-efficient-smart-economy-632595
Is it possible to mine duckNote (cryptonight) with CUDA miner?

Death to all Windows rigs, mwahahahahhahaha.

This is the generic answer post.

I'm pretty sure I set both the Windows and Linux builds for a combined compute 3.0 and 3.5 build, that shouldn't be a problem in most cases. I'll see if I put together a compute 2.0 version as well, basically stripping out all the latest bells and whistles by Christian and building for 2.0. Anyway, back to the problems. I can't decide which of the other two likely suspects is more likely, trying to run too many threads to fit in the GPU memory (2 MB per thread, that's 8 x 40 x 2 = 640 MB on the default launch setting) or the kernel simply running too slow and triggering TRD. Should probably add a check if the large initial memory allocation succeeds or not but error checking is for little girls Tongue

Other thing I realized, I didn't think about rigs that have mixed types of GPUs in them, the launch parameters only takes a single value instead of a comma separated per-device list. Another thing on the todo list.

Any ideas on the crazy hash rates on non 750ti cards? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7489618

I tried 4x10 to see if maybe it was a memory problem but still get the same result.

I tried to make it work for GTX780 in linux. Some testing led to 8x90, but I get only 240H/s. I tried default and other settings, but they either bugged or gave worse performance, if anyone had any better luck please share.

@tsiv - programmed to kill them all Grin Cool

yep, the profit is not better right now as the usual suspects (JPC & TAC) - but it is nice to see that we have the choice to mine cryptonight.

the only thing to keep in mind are the pools... the most of them are far from reliable.

which coin?
depends on the diff & price... JPC is not stable.

That's crazy...

...its funny for all the cryptonight coins. I mined with a few pc's and the resync of all the wallets take some time.

i am running windows 8.1 6 x 750ti evga SC  , running at stock. My driver crash the moment i run it. How to solve this ?
Weird. Are you sure there isn't any other mining running at that moment? You aren't the first with 8.1 problems though, but let's blame Microsoft Cheesy

Nope. I tried restarting my computer. After i run the bat. It show the message of thread and difficulties stuff and then BOOM. Driver crash.

Are you using one of the gpu's for your monitor? Tsiv said his cryptonight mod eats it all up Tongue Freezing the screen etc, maybe this is related? Are you using latest NON-BETA (they're bad ATM) drivers?

The monitor is not connected to rig. I connect via teamviewer for the first time. Once i run bat , i get disconnected and cant connect back. And then i try connect using monitor , after running bat , windows pop up driver crash message. I am using driver version 335.23

@ Christian, tsiv and Bombadil

If you 3 will post a Monero address I will mine for you all while I am mining also. I appreciate the miner.

Bombadil if your address is the one with the XMR_TEST bat then I have it. Can you verify?

Yep, that's mine ^^" Some sneak-donation I always slip in Cheesy

Gotcha,

You are up and running. I just ran the bat so it is mining on that pool. I will leave it running for the next 4-5 days.

Thx in advance
