I am getting the "The program can’t start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer" error - do I just download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 to fix this error ?

Do I need to add the -k Myriad-Groestl command before -o to mine those algos ?

It doesn't matter what order the switches are in. As long as you specify -k etc etc in it somewhere then it will change mine with that algorithm.

You can put -k in all day, but it won't work until you change the -k to -a.

Hi guys,

I am trying to mine Dvorakcoin which is a Myriad-Groestl coin. I have downloaded the latest version of cudaminer but when I launch it, it doesn't seem to recognize the "-k Myriad-Groestl" command. I then delete that command and it runs, but when it says it is mining as a scrypt ?

arguments are case sensitive and use --help to check how they should be spelled.

also it might work better with ccminer  Grin

Oh... I didn't know that Cudaminer and CCMiner were different... thats probably why it wasn't working. Do I need to add the -k Myriad-Groestl command before -o to mine those algos ?

i missed that slimcoin, was is to mine at launch at least?
even at launch, it was impossible... (at least for my poor i7)

It is still possible with weak CPUs, but it may not worthy of at least one day of solo mining.  And it took forever to sync if you are unlucky like me -- it took me 2 - 3 hours to jut get synced with proper addnodes settings. Someone (don't know if dev or botnet) is reported to have 1000+ CPUs on this coin at launch, so leftover from that whale is not easy to collect for us...  And people report to have smaller and smaller block and then dev said it is expected. So 50 per block is just theoretical max block award, they are almost all collected by the whales, and now net hash is up and you can get maybe 15 - 16 per block.

And I kinda of doubt in the fairness of PoB as well, although they seems interesting from the white paper. Early burners from those whales had huge advantages.  I tried to burn 5 coins and so far it did not get anything back, so I stopped burning -- it is very hard to find some coins, I don't want to burn all of them out. Some one said a PoB pool will be setup later, but I guess that may be 1-2 months from now, and I may start burning around that time.

Don't know if there's some scam here. If everyone is burning, then the supply of the coin is limited and value will rise up quickly, and those who decide not burn but hold lots of coins at hand may dump all of them and drive the price low enough and then may be buy them back again.... just my guess.  For now, I will hold my coins -- just had very few coins,  even I burn all of them won't make much differences.

Medichain: The Medical Big-Data Platform
I run 6 x 750ti with 8gb & celeron g1610 never had an issue with performance, it hasn't stopped my cards hashing at full speed....ever.
Linux? How much CPU usage?

I run win7 x64 w 8GB ram, and with 6 copies of ccminer50 running it is at about 45% CPU, and only 1.7 GB Ram being used.

It was a problem before the miner got some optimization, and I had to at least double up the cards because even 4 copies of the program running would put me at 100% CPU.

Do not have any problem at all with it now.

Since he already has the chip in the system I would say no need at all to upgrade, but should that change in the future you could always upgrade then.

hey,

am thinking of replacing my 280x cards with 750ti GPU's. There would be six GTX 750 ti GPU's on my Asrock H81 board with 8GB RAM.

Question: Can i keep my Haswell Celeron G1820 CPU to run it, or do i need to upgrade to something beefier with more cores?

More cores & more beef Wink The RAM doesn't matter that much, it's the hardcoded CPU assist that matters. So if you want full performance, don't save on the CPU.

Linux? How much CPU usage?

Windows 7 x64 usually between 30-55%. I did try the latest KopiemTu 1.3 but had slower hashrate than windows, I mined on simpledrk.com and found Linux gave me overall less hash/shares.

I have also recently bought 6x750Ti on H81 Pro BTC, G1820, 4Gb RAM and no issues with performance mining JPC. CPU usage: 40-60%
Main problem I have is Win8.1 x64 mining Scrypt-jane or Scrypt-n. Max 1.7 kh/s per card (yacoin) or 115 kh/s (spaincoin).
On the other side I have old SATA disk with installed WIN XP 32bit where I achieve much better results: 3.750 kh/s (yacoin) and 155 kh/s (spain) per card on the same system.
Also for x11 and JPC I'm getting lightly better hashrates (2-5%) with win xp.
Don't know why this happens, but will try windows 7 in a few days.

in fact i think that ram are more important, you rig run fine because of the 8gb

that's good news. thanks guys.
