I don't think any of us will truely ever stop. I personally have stopped GPU mining for the moment till I replace my PC around Christmas time. But I am still leaving burst to mine. Got to be doing something!

if we all stop, the coin will return profit  Grin

You guys all stop. I, in the meanwhile, with my free electricity, will just silently continue.

I wish i had free electricity
Me too. Damn me not having free university electric

Well, I'll make you guys an offer. Send me your rigs, and for a modest 10% fee, I will let those rigs run here on free electricity. I only have space for a small amount of rigs, because this is also my living room and I want room to walk. Also, if I start blowing fuses out of the wall, I'll probably get a visit from an angry landlord.
may-be that would also change if his electricity bill increase by a large amount...  Grin

The building I'm in is pretty big, and the ground floors are leased to companies and a school, so I'm guessing a few extra rigs running won't be noticed...

I'm looking to do a crowd funded x11 optimisation project, I think we will get really good support and I will reach out to multiple communities for donations, PM me if interested:

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/x11-mining-optimisation-project.2584/

Not sure if funding would improve the situation

here, I got a pull request for ccMiner's X11 with various optimizations

https://github.com/cbuchner1/ccminer/pull/25

but at this point I am not updating the ccMiner repo anymore. So the best way to go forward is probably going to be optimized forks of the C&C Hash factory's code.

Christian

It would be nice to get nvminer into GitHub since it was doing a good job of merging in various people's work.  Several people have done really good work but most of that work has been done in silos rather than branching and merging back to a common tree.

ICO? Not even once.
Random question, but since a lot of people here seem to like XCN I figured it may be applicable.
Does anyone else have problems with their XCN wallet.dat file constantly getting corrupted?  I've had to restore mine at least five times now.   Undecided
yep... mine is corrupted since a week, there is a pseudo-random procedure to re-sync it which may or may not work  the first time (Grin that's why I call it pseudo random) but usually after 3 or 4 iterations you should get your wallet synchronized again...
you need to start again your wallet with the -resync argument.
If it does not work, try removing the files in appdata.
If it still does not work, try again by changing the order of the step I gave you Grin
If it still does not work, start the whole procedure from the beginning again

If it still does not work you may be out of luck but don't desperate and start again the full procedure from the start

If it still does not work, try posting on the xcn thread, they'll be happy to give you the above procedure (plus some addnode... the beauty of placebo  Grin)
If it still does not work... well placebo does not work on you... start again the full procedure

no matter what... don't forget that xcn miniblockchain is the future of altcoin so keep trying  Grin

ps: this isn't even a joke... went exactly like that the last time it happened.. (for now, I just keep it corrupted...)

ps: don't forget to backup just in case

That sums it up pretty nicely Cheesy

I stopped solomining XCN two weeks ago and it's working flawlessly since. What I ususally did was made a backup about the whole Cryptonite folder when it was working and reverted to it in case of a corruption - which started to get more and more frequent.
