You need to find an exchange that will exchange max for bitcoin.
You then sell bitcoin for money at an exchange that does it

Thanks for your reply - that's what I suspected - there still isn't an established exchange system for cryptocurrencies.

This is funny, you seem against the establishment (bankster, politicians), but then you ask for an established exchange system for cryptocurrencies.

BTW, don't confuse fiat currencies and money - they are not the same thing. Whereas fiat currencies can be used as media of exchange they are not reliable wealth storage vehicles and hence do not qualify as 'money'.

I don't think you have all the NVidia drivers installed.  You're probably either running the stock windows drivers or you didn't install PhysX.  Hit up their site, download the GeForce experience thing under drivers and do a full install, that should sort you out.  I wouldn't expect too much out of a mobile card though.  Also, you can just do -d 0 or -d 1 but I'd be shocked if it picked up on the onboard graphics.

I am new to this world of virtual coins, but I am a Software Engineer.

I am having trouble launching the program, the x64 binary provided. I use the following command line:
cudaminer -d gt555m -C 2 -i 0 -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3334 -O user.worker:password

and I get this:
*** CudaMiner for nVidia GPUs by Christian Buchner ***

[2014-02-19 17:01:32] Unable to query CUDA driver version! Is an nVidia driver installed?

I believe this is due to the Laptop specs, it has both a NVidia GT55M 2GB and a Intel card. I have set the NVidia card to be the default card but it does not seem to be enough. I can't disable the Intel Card. I have a Lenovo ideapad Y570, is a fairly good and powerful laptop, I would like to get some juice out of it.

Any ideas?  I am ready to donate my first Litecoin to the right answer
thanks!

I apologise if this is the wrong place to ask this question - it seems like a rather technical thread - but I'm new to actually exploring cryptocurrencies practically. I decided to get involved because of the maxcoin introduction announced on RT, having been observing Bitcoin for some years and being very much opposed to central banks and the ability of politicians and banksters to steal from savers by manipulating fiat currencies.

So, we've had a few computers running since the maxcoin introduction, mining maxcoins, and now have an energy bill to pay and a stack of maxcoins. My simple question is: how exactly do we pay our energy bill using the maxcoins we've mined, and in general, how do we convert maxcoins to fiat currencies?

Is there a relationship with the fiat panda ?

more seriously, you need to change your maxcoin into bitcoin, then the bitcoin into a traditional currencies. there are several place where you can do that poloniex (for maxcoin -> btc)

Started mining pandacoin getting 300khash/s with my 780. Is that the highest one can get with the 780?

This is my bat file: "cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt:2048 -o stratum+tcp://panda.nitro.org:3338 -O user:pwd"

Launch config is T12x20
Bench hash/sec: 329142 hash/s
Max total warps (BxW): 322

-i 1 -C 0 -H 0 (Default)

try -C 2

My 780 wont get higher then 180khash/s which I believe is the same as christian is seeing?

Oh I didnt notice its panda, I never got that to work just throws a million errors.
What version of cudaminer actually works with panda?

--algo=scrypt:2048 -H 1 -C 2 -l T12x20 -i 0 -L 2

218 khps with no OC...

Honestly one of my card when it reaches my temp target it underclocks so I get only 400 from both... I got one riser to take it out to breath since it's on the top and it gets hot. I could overclock the second thouh so if you know how to OC and what to use on the bat you d be more than welcomed... I use the 1070 gh edition although it's clocked to 1100+

ah its the -L 2 that I needed ok makes sense

Vertcoin is going up like crazy, right now for 1MH/s for a day you get 0.038 BTC, which is pretty good imo. I've been lucky to stick to mining that coin for a week even if it was down to 0.002

Guys, is it possible to make some kind of auto-switching on aonther pool if another one is dead?
I can't find it in readme(

Not yet...should be in a newer release, along with proper maxwell support and cuda 6, without degrading older cards perf. (or so said Christian) :p

Sad news(

Thanks, anyway!

Astrophotographer and Ham Radioist!
I am with you again, after being away since page 191. Great to see everyone once more Smiley Haven't gotten any return on Microcoin, or Max sadly Sad Good to see Maxwell coming along. Maybe it will have some benefits over AMD's latest cards. But with the mining hype I doubt any of them would be available for fair prices.

still having some issues getting a gtx 690 working.
I am running 2 seperate batch files/instances for each GPU

cudaminer.exe --algo=scrypt:2048 -H 2 -L 2 -C 0 -d 0 -D -i 1 -m 1 -l K16x32 -o stratum+tcp[Suspicious link removed] --algo=scrypt:2048 -H 2 -L 2 -C 0 -d 1 -D -i 1 -m 1 -l K16x32 -o stratum+tcp://

H 2 seems to work well
L 2 did appear to stop some errors
I 1 is used just to get them to run a little cooler and also leave my PC responsive
K16x32 was found with autotune

On some pools it works fine and both GPU's has away and do their thing.
Others it runs with hash rates of 1.5 and starts to almost freeze my PC. Have to kill both batch files otherwise it's pointless.

I thought I was getting somewhere with the new version but it's intermittent.
For instance I can mine with both just fine at trademybit, but if I use my own local p2pool node I can only use one core.

I can't make any sense of it. Any help much appreciated
