any one know the difference on the power supply cable that comes with the 750ti the 4 pin molex to 6 pin for extra power why the 4 pin( that has three)  doesn't match up to a psu 4 pin molex?

We will all see tomorrow. I for one will buy a 980 even just for gaming

EDIT 19:00GMT - Sorry for cudamining.co.uk going down for a while. huge internet outage Sad
Why oh why wont the UK ISP's let me get a business line at home
they want you to work for the big guy..you making very little..then at home making alot?  Wink

That's far more true than you may realize!

...and I can connect to the site - can you connect now tbearhere?

Oops - just saw what you meant... never mind.  Grin

Honestly the difference is nothing in price and it allows for 100% uptime lines, i.e. line redundancy, yet i cant get it, stupid

I have a strange feeling that 750ti will stay the best card there is for mining.

maybe. but if the 970/980 delivers the double/tripple hash with double/tripple watt and nearly the doubled/tripple price than I have to take a closer look.

Let's wait for the release of new 9xx cards and see. Wink

Hopefully they keep to the release date of tomorrow

it's 3.2 750ti  Grin, but isn't this something like maxwell 2.0? should be better even if we compare cuda x cuda

it should be 10% faster than a 780ti

yes this is the new maxwell chips, i guess we will find out tomorrow on real performance. I wonder if anyone will do any mining reviews? hmm
from the review, it is somewhat faster than a stock 780ti when overclocked... but nobody use a stock 780ti... (well I don't...) and a 780ti does something like 20% more than stock...

mining review aren't really compelling usually...  somehow we always end up with the ex amd guy who absolutely want to undervolt everything he touches...  Grin

2048 cores  Shocked that 3x750ti and that's bad  Sad

Yep, hopefully they have improved the architecture SMX, that was they wont need as many cores if each performs better
well it will perform like 3 750ti...  with a small memory bus. So basically it will be worst than a 780ti...

I appears so but it has been indicated that they have done like AMD did with a new command compression software. Basically allowing everything to be compressed then sent so the memory bus being smaller is not an issue. This is still to be seen but they would need 1/3rd the compression of before to ideally justify the new bus.

AMD's next gpu is said to have a 256bit bus aswell due to the compression

As for the performing worse then the 780ti, if they decrease the number of cores but increase their performance, they can balance out.
750Ti was their first run at the architecture and some improvements have apparently been made on the chip itself. Hence the lower core count. they have increased per core performance which means more overall performance, and reduced the number which reduced the power usage and heat output.

If you factor in a loss of 200 cores, that's an 8% loss overall if it were to have 2200 cores. Boost the performance on the other 2000 cores by a few % and you make up the difference. Therefore allowing higher performance and reduced core count.

Its like putting a 3.3GHz 4 core against a 4.9GHz 3 core, which would win?
lets say I was expecting a game changer, it isn't one.
and read also that it won't stand high overclock as easily as its predecessor...

...we'll see. and I hope otherwise.
but there is alternative option for a 'little' performance boost:

enough cores? Grin  Tongue

now that looks sexy Tongue
