I'd like to do a etching stress test, however, the last time I did one on mainnet, I quite possibly took out many peoples wallets in the process...
Thus, has anyone looked at getting the Datacoin Testnet operational for this build? I get "Unable to start HTTP server. See debug log for details." and it crashes.
Please give detailed instructions to reproduce error. I have started testnet (datacoin-qt -debug -testnet) successfuly.

Interesting fact

There are 126 324 797 stored bytes in data sections of DTC blockchain at this moment.

Hi Verionum and Team,

Newest Verionum build handles basic transactions and simple Apertus etchings.
I've also noticed it is much more stable and not prone to CPU spikes like previous builds, and when they do occur, they are very brief and pretty normal when compared to other blockchain wallets.

Thank you for your work on Datacoin @Verionum -- not to mention your ideas -- I've been reading them and contemplating everything you are saying and have much to offer in time -- I'm still in think mode Smiley

Kindest Regards to Everyone,

Right now, coinmarketcap.com cannot provide accurate data because btcpop.co has not published an API.

We need to write a handler for dtc URI (f.e. dtc://95c45b7da6858b1abdd1b94937373ee196c5821f3e5a4062e4a7f5ac1e4c586a/filename.jpg).
Can someone realize it?
I believe it can make using dtc for datasaving popular.

It allows to embed censorship free data in html pages as ordinary links, images, downloadable files and so on.
It would be very convenient.

Handler would can request data from full local node or from remote nodes.

I need your response.

Have you noticed any errors and problems with 0.15.99 client?

Are transactions sent and received normally?

Are there any problems with data saving and restoring?

So far only positive feedback;

Quick installation on Ubuntu 16.04 x64 and Ubuntu 14.04 x64
Fast syncronization, took about 2 hours connected to 14 peers.

Send from Linux web wallet and received immediately, tested transactions up to 100 DTC
Send from Windows desktop wallet and received immediately, tested transactions up to 100 DTC

Send to Linux web wallet and received immediately, tested transactions up to 100 DTC
Send to Windows desktop wallet and received immediately, tested transactions up to 100 DTC

Imported and exported private keys between the differnent wallet versions with out any errors.

The signing and verification of messages is working correct.

Nice to have;

Build in block explorer
Build in rpc cookie authentication creator for rpcauth in the datacoin.conf file

Tnx,

H

"setgenerate true" for solo mining was removed in 0.13  - but it might still be useful for Datacoin.  Is there a way to bring it back?

-extro
Yes, this is possible. But a little later.

Which version of miner do your prefer.
There are options:
- embedded CPU miner.
- embedded server for external GPU miner (xpmclient).

I think that server option would be interesting for the rig miners.

I think you need to update information in the right top corner (version and years):

The internal miner was removed in this commit.
Reverting the change will almost certainly lead to false virus detection.
We do not want to see Datacoin-Qt or the installer being quarantined nor do we want to pay protection money to the security suite vendors on a continual basis to whitelist us.

It syncs very quickly - 2 hours in my case.
