Dear DeepOnion community,

I have finally “leveled up” to Member rank on BCT and would like to join your community.

I’ve been following DO from the sidelines so far and believe that this is a fantastic project. I hope I can contribute to the community and will try to adhere to the rules, happy to be a part of this.

I am willing to donate the $5000 needed as I firmly believe in this project. However I personally believe we would have higher benefits getting onto Bittrex after the 40 airdrops finish.

I think getting listed before the  airdrops conclude is the way.  I think the process should be initiated around the 20th airdrop.  The reason is that getting on bittrex would gain Onion alot of exposure.  With the new exposure, more people will apply for the airdrop and therefore we can better distribution.  Hopefully by the 20th airdrop, we can have 500-1000 approved participants.

There is no way they will list this coin until the airdrop distribution nears completion IMO.  All listing week 20 would do is give the premine addresses a viable way to dump. (not at all saying dev team would do that)

What I am saying, is I don't think we can throw $5k at Bittrex at this stage and get listed. I have approached them with $10k for other coins before and have decided not to list for various reasons. It's not as simple as paying and them listing it instantly.

I like this idea too...getting more people into the community and active is a good thing. Onions for everyone!  Grin

We need to get some active darkweb adoption though. The specifications will be ideal for this.

How do I unlock my wallet, or is it unlocked by default?

Is unlocked by default. You can lock it when you encrypt your wallet what is important for security

Speaking of staking, how do you stake with a normal wallet?

Also, what are the profit margins on staking. Like if I had 10K ONION staked, how many ONIONS would I get a day?

There is only one wallet and you can leave it staking by leaving it open and unlocked.

As for how much ONIONS you'd get, it doesn't work that way.

Read the main post:

'PoS interest will be variable per year:
   1st year: 10%
   2nd year: 5%
   3rd and subsequent years: 1%'

If you had 10K on you staking you'd get 10% for the 1st and subsequently.

How do I unlock my wallet, or is it unlocked by default?

Yea Bittrex is going to make sure they know exactly who and what the coin is before they will list it.  I say we just collect the funds and pay the listing fee.  But I also don't have any plans on selling so no big hurry.

i think we just need to pay ,i dont know but with 100% but i think we must pay this the main we must do and they will add anyway dev must do it ,not simple users.

I would donate 300 onions to list our deeponion if the fee is the only issue. I received 581 onions from airdrop last week. Glad to do something for our community.

We should think a better exchange, I think bittrex is one of the best. They usually accept coins with unique features. Once the DeepVault is released we should target to get to bittrex. Anyone knows what is the process to get there?

Here are the exact rules to get listed on Bittrex straight from the website:

To help speed up the process of deploying your coin, we require the following information submitted through our support desk here: https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=114093958872

Coin Name
Enhanced Verified Account of team member on Bittrex - This team member must be either a core developer or a major shareholder (10% or more) of a company that backs the development of the coin.  That member will need to submit identifying documents to get their account enhanced verified.

Description of your coin -  Why does it exist and what makes it unique?  What new technology or business concept are you bringing to the blockchain? If your ANN thread only has coin specs on it, you are not going to get listed on Bittrex.

Coin trading symbol - The ticker needs to be 3-5 letters and cannot contain any symbols or numbers.  Please verify that your preferred symbol is not already in use on our exchange or any other.  There are a number of services that track coin prices that require the symbols to be unique. Even if the symbol is not on our exchange anymore, we won't reuse it.  Consider your symbol carefully because we will not change it once it is set.

A logo for your coin - png format with a transparent background.  The logo should be square with dimensions of 1000x1000 pixels with no white space on its border and no taglines.  It should only be a logo and expect it to show up in multiple spots in the Bittrex UI.

Launch Date (past or future)

Github Link - We only accept source code.  We will not run a binary that you provide us.

Did you raise money/bitcoin to launch your coin?  (i.e. a CFC/ICO)

Did you have a premine?  How much is it?  Is it escrowed?

What is the max money supply for your coin?

Exchanges you are currently on

Official blockchain explorer

What is your TxFee for a transaction

Any social media information such as your official website, twitter account, facebook page, subreddit, etc.
If you are an ETH token:

Code review - Was a code review performed on your smart contract?  By whom?  Please provide a link or send us a document of the results
What is your smart contract address?
Optional information that heavily influences us:

Identity Disclosure:  If you disclose your identity publicly, we'll verify that the information you disclosed matches your Bittrex account
Get your source code reviewed by a trusted member of the community
Updates about your coin: If you have previously been listed on Bittrex, what has changed with your coin since then?
If you are interested in providing information to traders of your coin in our user interface, see Submitting Coin Information for the Bittrex UI
If you run a crowdfunding campaign on another platform or premined your coin and would like to get listed, the following additional requirements apply:

We may require a $5000 compliance fee for the additional due diligence we need to fulfill to list your coin. More details are in our article What is a Compliance Review?
A link to publicly accessible information about the CFC terms.  We need to see exactly how any funds were raised and what was promised to crowdfunders
A link to publicly accessible information about the premine.  We'd like to know how large of a premine it was and what the intended purpose of the premine is
We'd like to know the final metrics for the crowdfund.  How much was raised and how many addresses were coins distributed to?
You must also meet our CFC compliance standards; most notably having a proof of developer done and disclosing the full name and location of a member of the coin development team
If you are purchasing a spotlight, you must have a proof of developer done and disclose the full name and location of a member of the coin development team.

How do you know the reason for missing payout from an airdrop?
Yeah. You're the definition of a 1 day poster. ALL your weekly posts were on 9/21/17
Gosh, there was yet another rule change.
i didnt know that the rule said, you had to post it on multiple days. When was it announced? I usually login and catch up on bitcointalk max couple of times weekly.
I am not a fulltime bitcointalk user to login and post here daily

There is no such rule that you can't post in one day. However, if you do this every week, what does it mean? It means that the account is likely someone's side account, that you post something just to fulfill the requirements for something, like airdrop. It is normal that dev team will ban these accounts because the big number of frauds trying to get free money.

Has anybody tried staking their onions with a Raspberry Pi?  I just ordered one and I was curious what I'm in for...

I just received my Rasberry Pi today and will try and set it up. I will post here and at the official forums to let everyone know how it went. Smiley

Only reason I got this is so I can be staking 24/7
I would really appreciate you posting your experience. I don't think I'm going to be getting my Raspberry until another week at least..slow shipping.. I know people have done it with other coins and it worked out pretty good..

You need to post a quality and constructive post each time, not just by saying something what you felt but share also your opinions, ideas and suggestion to create more improvments of the matter,
