DERO is one of the best cryptoote-algorithm projects, personally.
All coins have to witness ups and downs, so it's normal to witness the downwards to bottoms of DERO months ago.
Nevertheless, all things moved to more positive side last two months.

Seems to me that someone is selling otherwise it could go down from 27K to 21K

We all know devs will deliver SC and Dero file system. We all know that Cryptopia is coming, bringing way more volume in that we have now... What I look forward to is what crazy innovation @Captain and those guys bring with roadmap for 2019. The tech is already superior so Whatever they build now - Is just making dero completly untoucheable. Build it and they will come! Lets go!

Do not pay attention to price hikes. What kind of assholes are trying to bring down the price on the exchanges, so that the holders began to sell dero. They just lose money - no one will sell their dero, on the eve of the grandiose updates. Just do your own research.

The GUI wallet is lightweight - if by that you mean it uses remote nodes to sync to the blockchain rather than store it locally - and it has been working fine for several transfers to and from stex.com.
