I think the new website looks a lot more professional and explains the goals, innovations and scope of the project more clearly. A step in the right direction!

I forwarded your questions to the dev on Discord, but I can answer the second one: currently, Ethereum is *not* resistant to a 51% attack. That said, it is all but immune to one given the massive amount of hashrate it would require, and Vitalik it working on a new consensus algo that would require 99% of the nodes to be compromised (which sounds suspiciously like what Dero has already...).

you SHOULD say that it is POW ASIC coin....fucking asic...a piity i cant mine them so i will buy a few of them....i cant do more for this project
This is interesting. Are you saying that DERO cannot be mined with GPU anymore?
This is what happens when developers are comfortable when ASICs are mining their creation. Unlike Monero developer that when the need arises, he changes or modifies the algo so that it will be ASIC resistant.

With respect to bad marketing - do you have any suggestions? I'm not saying you're wrong but I have yet to see any marketing that's been effective except for a bull run.

I said marketing has been crap because there basically hasn't been any, though I don't entirely agree that there is no point to marketing except during a bull run. In fact, it has been my experience that marketing is most important during bearish periods - along with product development, of course - to pull away from the weaker competitors and establish mind-share.
Since I made the post above, some progress has been made in formulating a new marketing strategy by Joshy and Cryptonator1337 on the Dero Discord channel. I'm an engineer so about the last person you want to ask how to market something, but at this point even putting sign-spinners on a few street corners would be a step up.

In my knowledge, DERO is not the only altcoin which has the mechanism, based on DAG, right?
Dero is not the only one, but most other DAG coins have DAG of transactions, not blocks. Ethereum has uncle block mining that is somewhat similar. September 28, 2018, 08:59:12 PM

DAG is "Directed Acyclic Graph," and it is basically a way to eliminate orphan blocks and 51% attacks. If you want more detail then this article is good:

I do know of many projects that have spent a ton on marketing and gone nowhere but given Dero's likely modest budget, what could they be doing that is effective? Again, I'm not saying you should necessarily have the answers but I'm wondering if there is something, perhaps unorthodox, that can help sustain interest/volume/price etc.

Smart Contracts feasibility is the next big thing, until it is on the testnet there will be doubt.
