@techo.
Im starting my wallet demon from a shortcut and by putting those nodes i havent had any issues sync my wallet anymore.
Its something that CaptDero advised me to do as i couldnt sync at all.

derod.exe --add-priority-node 80.209.227.121:18090 --add-priority-node 76.74.170.109:18090

just in case still any issues, pls see https://forum.dero.io/t/dero-blockchain-sync-problem/21/11

I tried solutions on that page but it didn't work for me.

New release updated just now:
https://github.com/deroproject/dero/releases/download/v0.11.3/dero-windows-amd64.zip
https://github.com/deroproject/dero/releases/download/v0.11.3/dero-linux-amd64.tar.gz

I have this message:
Code:
2018-01-21 07:43:14.560 [P2P7]  WARN    net.dns src/common/dns_utils.cpp:487    WARNING: no two valid DeroPulse DNS checkpoint records were received

Edit: If you delete all C:\ProgramData\dero and resync walletd it worked.

To be part of DERO NETWORK and start mining DERO:
Download daemon & wallet from below links, choose your OS.
https://github.com/deroproject/dero
https://github.com/deroproject/dero/releases/download/v0.11.2/dero-linux-amd64.tar.gz
https://github.com/deroproject/dero/releases/download/v0.11.2/dero-windows-amd64.zip

Extract and change into that directory by cmd-prompt.
Run derod.exe or derod depending on operating system. It will start syncing.
Open another command-prompt and run dero-wallet-cli.exe/dero-wallet-cli and follow options to create wallet.
Make sure to backup your wallet-file/password/seed/key etc…

SOLO MINING:
Run “start_mining X” cmd in wallet X-> NO. of cores in your CPU

POOL MINING:
Visit http://pool.dero.live/#getting_started

DERO POOLS:
http://pool.dero.live Official pool.
http://dero.tech
https://dero.nitropools.com/ Fix diff supported

Also following pools have been setup by community members if you want to directly mine to exchange. payment_ID supported.
Pls make sure first exchange are working.

Your daemon may need an update but Im positive CaptDero will come along with an up to date data file for you to download when they see this which should solve the problem for you

I hear older Intel Xeon servers (in 19" rack mount cases) do pretty well at Cryptonight mining; I might pick up a few to find out as GPUs are insanely expensive right now.

Cryptonote in general does well with 2MB of cache per 1 core for mining. So if your CPU has 4MB cache the best setup with be 2 Threads for mining. Xeon's do well because they have a lot of cache.

Yep, that's my understanding. I'm toying around with the idea of setting up a little server farm specifically for DERO and another Cryptonote coin, eDollar.

It's telling me that I'm using an invalid address for login but Id be happy to push Greg500 to 4 Dero when I get a chance
He has a space in the address, use dERoSHYECXYMi3H1WsY6JiYZQEPFbgnmwH4UgPi9YwMYYG7oPAqA5yycGc4nBhrt2E8deJmxWEXqqDW 3SJTLi16L2FFYArbEta
I sent a tip, feel free to do the same.

How efficient is DERO mining at home computers? I have no extra budget to buy a professional mining machine, forgive me for ignorance of mining knowledge

You'll pretty much have to download a Cryptonote/Cryptonight miner to find out. My Ryzen 5 1600 is now doing >450 H/s average with XMR-stak in CPU-mining-only mode, but it took a lot of fiddling to get there without undue penalty to the computer's performance elsewhere (out of the box it did closer to 380 H/s). Claymore's CPU miner 3.9 is easier to set up, not quite as fast, but is much more adaptive to changes in load from you actually using the computer (that is, minimal hit to desktop interactivity); I get about 390-410 H/s out of it with the devfee disabled.

My older AMD FX-8300 - the generation prior to Ryzen - does a respectable 300 H/s with Claymore; I haven't fiddled around with XMR-stak on it because it is just a bare motherboard that I mainly use for testing each GPU I acquire.

However, my even older AMD Phenom II x4 955 - two generations back - barely manages 40 H/s and desktop interactivity is slowed to a crawl.

Hi guys,

Could you please have a look at this-[spammy link removed]. And let me know if it can be improved?.

Well, one suggestion would be to post it in a more appropriate thread; this one is about DERO, not CREDITS...  Roll Eyes
