Like I said, it has been a busy couple of weeks!Let me give you some details on each of these highlights before I give you further information on our outlook.
Cédric joins Team DineroWe are Delighted to welcome Cédric to our Core Team. Cédric joins as Project Development Advisor and brings a wealth of passion along with his 5+ years of blockchain experience to the project.
New Dinero WebsiteYou may be reading this update on our brand new website at
https://dinerocoin.org. We have put a lot of effort into the structure of our new site, and we hope you find the content supplied easy to find and use. However, this is only the beginning we plan on adding many different sections, functions, features and continuously adding to the content on our new site.
New Dinero Community ForumWe are launching a new forum to discuss all things Dinero at
https://forum.dinerocoin.orgWe don’t intend or anticipate that this will take away from some of the lively discussions we sometimes have on other media such as Discord, but we feel it will give us a more persistent mechanism to gather around and discuss specific topics as a community. Please head on over and sign-up.
Dinero RoadmapWe carefully considered how to approach our roadmap. I am sure many of you have seen some beautifully crafted infographic style roadmaps for blockchain projects, the contents of which simply never get delivered.
We believe that actions speak louder than words (or fancy picture roadmaps) and while we have a list of projects and objectives we want to achieve, we also want to get the Dinero community involved in both bringing their aspirations and ideas to the project and participating in the governance of the project.
To this end, we have provided a simple view of the items that we have been working on since launch in addition to those things that we intend to deliver in the next 6 – 12 month period. While we have a broad degree of certainty about our direction, we feel that trying to outline specific projects beyond that time horizon results in too much uncertainty at this time.
Our roadmap is presented as a simple view of the headline deliverables we want to achieve and will be updated regularly to reflect both additions as well as any updates to our existing projects so you can track our progress.
https://dinerocoin.org/roadmap/Dinero Web WalletWe are delighted to have released the Dinero web wallet. To be a little more precise, its a web interface to the Dinero blockchain. It is explicitly not an online wallet, meaning you maintain full control over your private keys at all times. For users who can not, or do not want to run a full Dinero wallet, the Dinero web wallet provides a beautiful and simple interface to manage your DIN. You can access the web wallet at
https://wallet.dinerocoin.orgDinero Paper WalletDinero paper wallet is a convenient way to keep your private keys and Dinero safe and offline. You can easily print out a wallet that has the private key, wallet address, and send any amount of Dinero to the address.
Check out the paper wallet at this address
https://paper.dinerocoin.orgDinero Mobile WalletsMoney needs to be mobile. With mobile devices shipments now outnumbering PC’s by close to 10:1 Dinero needs to be available on all smartphones. Our first smartphone wallet apps are now available for Apple IOS and Android devices and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store respectively.
Dinero on YouTubeWe thought that video content would be a handy way to get some of our messages across, in particular for tutorials and demonstrations, so we created a YouTube channel and uploaded our first video which is a tutorial on how to set up a Dinero masternode.
If you haven’t done so already, please head over to our YouTube channel and subscribe.
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoj95EkI69ojMjXZqy95BWABroader outlook for DineroIn addition to the individual items highlighted above, I am also delighted that our community and network continue to grow. Our team continue to have a dual focus on both pushing ahead with delivering projects while also helping users and dealing with regular issues on a day to day basis.
I said earlier that we put a lot of effort into the structure of our new website. I am also conscious that we could spend months perfecting every element of the site and adding all the necessary content to the site before releasing it but, I am personally of the view that websites should be fluid and continuously evolving media. As such we are publishing it now, and we will continue to add to it on an ongoing basis. If you have any suggestions for improvement, or indeed if you find any bugs or typos, please get in touch.
In addition to moving towards our vision and working on projects, one of my primary priorities right now is to publish our white paper. I expect we will have this completed in the coming weeks. I think the white paper will add a considerable degree of clarity for anyone to wants to understand both the objectives and direction of the Dinero project.
I am truly inspired by what we have achieved in the two months since we launched Dinero, and I am humbled by the capability and commitment of the Core Team who have worked tirelessly to make all of these things happen.
I also feel privileged to that we have such an awesome community and I would like to thank you all for being part of this journey.
I would like to remind you all that this is a long-term journey and I hope you will join us in our dual-mandate to help our user to prosper while also doing good for our communities along the way.
