Hi everyone. A little update regarding the Miner / Masternode reward breakdown. The adjustment to the 50/50 reward split between masternodes and miners is going to occur at block number 61,422 and not as previously advised on the website at block 54,722. I apologise for the miscommunication and hope it hasnt created any issues for anyone. I have updated the website to reflect the correct information. Thank you for your continued support.

    DINERO UPDATE 22 MARCH 2018

    Its been nearly two weeks since our last update, and what a spectacular couple of weeks its been.

    Indeed there has been a lot going on globally for crypto and blockchain during this time, but rest assured the Dinero Team have not been one bit distracted from our mission of enabling our users to prosper financially by providing reliable and easy to use decentralised financial services solutions.

    If you are short of time I will give the bullet points before I dive into a more detailed description, here are the highlights;

    • We welcomed Cédric to the Dinero Team.
    • We are releasing our new website
    • We are releasing a new community forum
    • Version 1.0 of our Roadmap is now available on our website
    • We have released a new Lightweight Web Wallet
    • We have released a new Paper Wallet
    • The Dinero Android App is now available on Google Play
    • The Dinero IOS app is now available on The Apple App Store
    We Launched our YouTube Channel and created our first Video (a Masternode setup tutorial)[/li]
    [/list]

    Like I said, it has been a busy couple of weeks!

    Let me give you some details on each of these highlights before I give you further information on our outlook.

    Cédric joins Team Dinero
    We are Delighted to welcome Cédric to our Core Team. Cédric joins as Project Development Advisor and brings a wealth of passion along with his 5+ years of blockchain experience to the project.

    New Dinero Website
    You may be reading this update on our brand new website at https://dinerocoin.org. We have put a lot of effort into the structure of our new site, and we hope you find the content supplied easy to find and use. However, this is only the beginning we plan on adding many different sections, functions, features and continuously adding to the content on our new site.

    New Dinero Community Forum
    We are launching a new forum to discuss all things Dinero at https://forum.dinerocoin.org

    We don’t intend or anticipate that this will take away from some of the lively discussions we sometimes have on other media such as Discord, but we feel it will give us a more persistent mechanism to gather around and discuss specific topics as a community. Please head on over and sign-up.

    Dinero Roadmap
    We carefully considered how to approach our roadmap. I am sure many of you have seen some beautifully crafted infographic style roadmaps for blockchain projects, the contents of which simply never get delivered.

    We believe that actions speak louder than words (or fancy picture roadmaps) and while we have a list of projects and objectives we want to achieve, we also want to get the Dinero community involved in both bringing their aspirations and ideas to the project and participating in the governance of the project.

    To this end, we have provided a simple view of the items that we have been working on since launch in addition to those things that we intend to deliver in the next 6 – 12 month period. While we have a broad degree of certainty about our direction, we feel that trying to outline specific projects beyond that time horizon results in too much uncertainty at this time.

    Our roadmap is presented as a simple view of the headline deliverables we want to achieve and will be updated regularly to reflect both additions as well as any updates to our existing projects so you can track our progress. https://dinerocoin.org/roadmap/

    Dinero Web Wallet
    We are delighted to have released the Dinero web wallet. To be a little more precise, its a web interface to the Dinero blockchain. It is explicitly not an online wallet, meaning you maintain full control over your private keys at all times. For users who can not, or do not want to run a full Dinero wallet, the Dinero web wallet provides a beautiful and simple interface to manage your DIN. You can access the web wallet at https://wallet.dinerocoin.org

    Dinero Paper Wallet
    Dinero paper wallet is a convenient way to keep your private keys and Dinero safe and offline. You can easily print out a wallet that has the private key, wallet address, and send any amount of Dinero to the address.

    Check out the paper wallet at this address

    https://paper.dinerocoin.org

    Dinero Mobile Wallets
    Money needs to be mobile. With mobile devices shipments now outnumbering PC’s by close to 10:1 Dinero needs to be available on all smartphones. Our first smartphone wallet apps are now available for Apple IOS and Android devices and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store respectively.

    Dinero on YouTube
    We thought that video content would be a handy way to get some of our messages across, in particular for tutorials and demonstrations, so we created a YouTube channel and uploaded our first video which is a tutorial on how to set up a Dinero masternode.

    If you haven’t done so already, please head over to our YouTube channel and subscribe.

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoj95EkI69ojMjXZqy95BWA

    Broader outlook for Dinero
    In addition to the individual items highlighted above, I am also delighted that our community and network continue to grow. Our team continue to have a dual focus on both pushing ahead with delivering projects while also helping users and dealing with regular issues on a day to day basis.

    I said earlier that we put a lot of effort into the structure of our new website. I am also conscious that we could spend months perfecting every element of the site and adding all the necessary content to the site before releasing it but, I am personally of the view that websites should be fluid and continuously evolving media. As such we are publishing it now, and we will continue to add to it on an ongoing basis. If you have any suggestions for improvement, or indeed if you find any bugs or typos, please get in touch.

    In addition to moving towards our vision and working on projects, one of my primary priorities right now is to publish our white paper. I expect we will have this completed in the coming weeks. I think the white paper will add a considerable degree of clarity for anyone to wants to understand both the objectives and direction of the Dinero project.

    I am truly inspired by what we have achieved in the two months since we launched Dinero, and I am humbled by the capability and commitment of the Core Team who have worked tirelessly to make all of these things happen.

    I also feel privileged to that we have such an awesome community and I would like to thank you all for being part of this journey.

    I would like to remind you all that this is a long-term journey and I hope you will join us in our dual-mandate to help our user to prosper while also doing good for our communities along the way.

    Dev, what the hell is with TradeSatoshi, it is month already in maintenance and my deposits (tracked month before in explorer) are stuck "in clouds" Huh
    I have tried asked, and asked, and asked TradeSatoshi to fix this. At first they responded with the usual "Will pass it on to the devs", and I was told that their dev was "so busy". And after that my messages have gone unanswered.

    Several community members have also raised tickets, some have been ignored, some have been closed without resolution.

    I will keep sending messages, but I cannot control what they do - unfortunately.

    Hello Everybody

    As you may be aware from our previous updates, we have been working on bringing the Dinero Core wallet up to date with our new logo, colour scheme and branding guidelines.

    Today I am incredibly pleased to share with you the results of that work. We have now released v1.0.1.0 of Dinero Core.

    This release includes pre-built binaries for a variety of standard operating systems including Windows, Linux and Apple OSX. These can be downloaded from our official Github repository https://github.com/dinerocoin/dinero/releases/tag/v1.0.1.0 or our website www.dinerocoin.org.

    Of course, if you prefer to build the binaries yourself, the source code is available at https://github.com/dinerocoin/dinero and licensed under an MIT license.

    This release represents a significant visual overhaul of the core wallet as well as some minor bug fixes, a protocol version update and other improvements. If I can be shamefully immodest, I think the results look amazing.

    We recommend that you update to this release at your earliest convenience.

    As always we continue to work on the many other elements of the Dinero project including laying out our new website, our roadmap, our whitepaper, mobile and web wallets to mention a few highlights. We wholeheartedly appreciate your ongoing support.

    If you have any feedback or suggestions, or indeed, if you just want to talk with us we would love to hear from you.

    Why not drop by and join us and nearly 1,000 other Dinero supporters on Discord at https://discord.gg/987UBd9

    Kind regards

    DINERO

    What are the hardware requirements for MN?
    For running a masternode you will need a linux server with a fixed IP address. The minimum requirements are not terribly onerous. Typically an entry level VPS will get you started. We would recommend Ubuntu 16.04 with minimum of 1GB of RAM but many different OS and configurations will work. Of course you can scale up from there depending on your budget and circumstances.

    Hi Everyone,

    I would like to share another update from the Dinero Core Team. The full update is available at the following link; http://www.dinerocoin.org/Dinero-Update-March-4-2018.pdf or the text is copied here for your convenience.

    DINERO UPDATE MARCH 4th, 2018

    Hi Everyone

    Can you believe it, we are in March already!

    Since our last update about ten days ago, we have been working hard to improve the Dinero project. As well as ongoing developments, we also have some exciting news and releases to share with you.

    Firstly I am delighted to announce that our team has expanded with two new members, YoYae and MindMiner have joined our ranks.

    YoYae has joined as a core-developer and brings with him extensive experience and knowledge of both cryptocurrencies and software development.

    MindMiner joins us in community support and has extensive mining, IT, and support experience.

    I hope you will join me in extending them both a very warm welcome to the team.

    As I mentioned in the last update, we have a number of parallel work-streams which we continue to work on. I am delighted to share with you the results of a few of these;

    THE DINERO INSIGHTS EXPLORER (NOW LAUNCHED)
    This is a much more detailed and functional blockchain explorer
    than the existing official blockchain explorer

    This is now officially launched and available at;
    https://insights.dinerocoin.org

    THE DINERO MASTERNODE & GOVERNANCE MONITORING WEBSITE (NOW LAUNCHED)
    This site provides detailed statistics and monitoring capabilities for the masternode network, and also visibility on the Governance system;

    This is now officially launched and available at;
    https://masternodes.dinerocoin.org

    PAPER WALLET (NOW LAUNCHED)
    The Dinero paper wallet gives you the ability to generate a Dinero address and private key printed together. It is an offline wallet and is a type of "cold storage" for your Dinero.

    You can find the paper wallet at;
    https://paper.dinerocoin.org/

    We have made several other less visible (but equally critical) improvements such as adding https to our official explorer at https://explorer.dinerocoin.org and many code improvements to both the core wallet and supporting software repositories (follow us on Github for updates).

    We have made significant progress on updating the core Dinero wallet to reflect our new brand guidelines and logo and hope to be in a position to launch this within the next week.

    Following the wallet launch, we will be focusing significant attention on our website, blog and social media profile. We believe that these are critical areas that will help deliver our message to many users and as such need a great deal of work.

    Other things that are in our current pipeline are producing a roadmap, a white-paper, more and better interfaces such as mobile and web-wallets, to mention just a few highlights.

    I hope we can get the new website out soon and use that as a place to communicate our plans and interact with you all on an ongoing basis.

    As always, we welcome your input and feedback and appreciate your ongoing support.

    Kind regards
