Woo Hoo!  I got my DMD's in my wallet today!  It took a couple phone calls to them but they finally pulled through.  Once I had them on the phone they quickly figured out what happened.  I am a happy camper again!  I am going to test some more small purchases on Cryptsy and send to my wallet to see how it goes.  I did inform the gentleman I spoke with that we are now on 2.0.3.  He was not aware of the new wallet.

paper wallet looks good! :-)
on a side note, the new wallet uses more cpu than the previous one.
maybe it's because of the new indexing, danbi probably knows...
Another culprit might be coin control. Do you have that enabled?

It should be disabled, however I don't know a way to check it on a headless client.
An additional information which may be useful is that the load on the CPU is almost constant and about 30% higher with the new wallet.

Yes, the new indexing could be part of the culprit, as it has an additional cache layer  -- but one would expect it to use less CPU, as it actually prevents the hash being calculated again. Except if the hash comparison is slower than the hash computation... interesting idea, haven't checked it though.

But, the most likely culprit is the additional code in the hashing function I added to get rid of the orphan block that exists at algorithm switch time. There are two hashes for supposedly the same block, which is creating some strange situations. Hopefully, we can get rid of it in a release or two and that code will go away. In any case, it only does one hash comparison, when asked for the hash, so should not be even noticeable.

Another culprit might be coin control. Do you have that enabled?

clocking 280x at 1080/1500 and 7950 at 1100/1250.

how much hash are you solo mining with.
Devoting about 12.7Mhs with a single 7950 and finding 2-3 blocks per day.
I'd rather be just buying right now but I find Cryptsy too risky... (LOL they've become too big for their britches and can't seem to handle support tickets in a timely manner).

Nice, I'm gonna try to solo mine with my 4 750Ti
I don't know why yet but my 280x does not like groestl as well as the 7950 ...
Curiously 280x loves X11,X13 and does better than 7950 on those algos.

Maybe you are hitting to too hard? I found out AMD cards prefer much lower clocks for Groestl than for scrypt. What settings do you use?

Hey guys, should we try to spread the hashing a bit?
Don't know what the pool hashrate distribution is, went back to Solo mining as I found the frequent "Dings" on Danbi's pool too annoying ...

Could this be an Windows thing? All my miners are headless ...
Only happens when I am monitoring the dashboard page of pool, goes away when I close it but I like to monitor stats Smiley
Edit: I'm not even mining with this box as I use it for my home entertainment system and mining interferes with movie watching at 1080p playing mkv's ...

Hmm, isn't Danbis Pool at 0% fee?
And Minepit has payouts after every 1 DMD confirmed, not every minute.

Maybe it's time to clean up among the pool links on bit.diamonds, just as it has been done here in this thread. Links to Omargpools, Cryptofrenzy and Noncepool are still there, but Minepit is missing. But I guess that you're already aware of this since you changed it in this thread.

Yes it does not much good for Diamond's appearance if incorrect info is on website and cryptsy info page ...
Numerous spelling errors also need to be corrected on website if we are to be a professional coin Smiley

According to Minepit Ann on this forum, one minute payouts are a fact.

I was not aware of the changes and would like to have this confirmed by the pool op.

Danbi's pool is still set to 0% but the info on the OP is so to speak ahead of the change. We need more mining pools and undercutting everyone with zero fee is not good strategy in the long run. Danbi still needs to agree to this change and I'm hoping he will Wink

I have made changes to the website (update on pools) but apparently haven't pushed it. That's what happens when you work on too many things at the same time Smiley thanks for bringing it up. As for spelling mistakes.. ehh the website is still work in progress, patience.

Why is it I learn these things last? Smiley

danbi's pool(s) are not only all running at 0% fees, but also (all) run payouts every minute. Always have. And do other good things.

popshot, I have no issues with you guys trying to convince me. Just bear in mind pointing a gun my way is an once in a lifetime pleasure Wink

Anyway, back to the topic. People, please get your coins off the pool. I understand the way of thinking "someone (danbi!) is taking care of this stuff it might be more secure than the wallet on my own Windows computer (you are unfortunately right here), so why not just keep the coins there." --- but please bear in mind you are causing me great discomfort, having to keep a personal DMD balance in excess of the coins left at the pool (just in case something bad happens), and all this software is buggy enough.

Also, by putting the coins in your own wallet, even if you don't keep it open all the time, you earn PoS. Now, PoS is 50%, it will only reduce in future. Not convinced yet?

Hm... maybe, start minting your coins left at the pool? Is this enough initiative to move them away? :-)

My next initiative will be reverse interest! Please, save me from coding this stuff...

whenever u can vote please

we got feedback from mintpal they use even after september the voting behavior as one of the points to consider if new coins get added

all they change is that coins get not a gurantee to be added just by being on place 1 on voting list

Well, that must be correct then. I guess they generate payouts every minute for all pools. But in the Diamond Pool they have a fixed payout threshold of 1 DMD, that's what I was referring to. Never mind then  Smiley
