Has DSTM gotten bored with this project? He was super interactive and involved early in the thread, but his postrate has dropped significantly.

Holiday vacation, perhaps?

with the 2% non-disableable dev fee, he's probably at the Lambo dealer right now, picking the right colors to so that last months Labo's match next month's delivery.

Hello, I just want to ask. Can I set dstm's miner to mine on NanoPool? If so how .bat file should look like? Smiley

yes, just change the server from bat

ZCASH:
OS: Windows
CPU: 2700k not really relevant.
GPU: Reference NV GTX 980
Solutions in NHEQminer: 160-210/s
Solutions in ZM including dev fee: 240-260/s

Original NHEQminer is running for last couple of days, this one is just being tested with slush pool.

What I like:
 + Clear command line options
+ Setup is easy by running a single line command batch
+ Performace increase over open source miner NHEQminer (Well worth the 2%)
+ Better handling on user demands during mining (Mining and general tasks at the same time)

What I dont like:
 - Forum like distribution
 - Clear changelog and version tracking should be included in the release.
 - Dev fee should be stated clearly in the README, not just how much, but which pool and which user. (I do not want to track it in firewall and then enable it.)
 - Issue tracking should not be on a forum, this is not 2003.

Overall the last thing is visibility as slush pool does not include it in FAQ and generally I have not seen this miner until mining for couple of weeks.

Found the probable reason this has lower scores than the EWBF miner. Turns out it does not trigger 3D mode on your card, which disables OC and Boost.
You can replicate that by running Media Player Classic in Enhanced Video Renderer mode and even minimizing the paused video.
I got between 30 and 50 extra Sol/s

It is debateable if this one, EBWF, or BMiner is "the fastest" - seems to depend a lot on specific cards and settings ON each card.
This one SEEMS to do better on the "lower end" Nvidia cards like the 1060 and 1070, EBWF seems to do better on the 1080 ti, the middle is a muddle.

Is this the fastest public miner out there regarding nvidia cards?

Can you mine other algos than Equihash with this miner?

i mean.... i would stop coming here as well if people kept asking questions that don't belong here, or questions like "is this better than XXXXXX miner?"

do some damn research yourself people....

I have interesting problem with DSTM. I'm mining on latest build of Windows 10 (10.0.16299 N/A Build 16299) with nVidia drivers 388.43. Mining on GAINWARD GeForce 1060 6GB overclocked with Gainward ExpertTool to CORE:2025 MHz MEMORY: 4452 MHz. I don't need to take into account electricty costs, so I'm overclocking to maximize results. This giving me nice 345 Sol/s. But, and now that's the funny part, only when for example, Google Chrome is opened. When all windows are closed, and only DSTM is running, frequency of the CORE falls around 1500 MHz. Never experienced this behaviour before with EWBF, where there was similar problem just vice versa. Normally I was getting 315 Sol/s (btw nice to have 10% extra with DSTM, good job), but when I was connected with RDP from mining computer to another computer, or even to virtual one on Hyper-V, I got only 260 Sol/s. Now this doesn't happen with DSTM... as long as Chrome is running Cheesy

Then how do i determine the worker name? say i have two rigs: worker1 and worker2
Thanks

Thanks..but i have no problem with EWBF, internet is very stable 24/7..either it is EU or Asia Flypool, port 3333 or 13333, EWBF runs smoothly..
DSTM is the problem here..

The README says:
--user           Username / Workername

Does it mean Wallet / Worker? not Wallet.Worker (using "slash" instead of "dot") ??

But how did you determine the Worker name?
Tropulus did without WorkerName..say i have two rigs with same specs, i won't be able to know which one is active or down..
Thanks btw..

At least at EU Flypool with DSTM, you can set worker name with dot (NOT slash) after address, but you don't need to, both works.

Same with password, you don't need to set any password for Flypool or you can set difficulty via password field.

But make sure you have port 3443 open even if you not mining on it, because DEV Fee is mining on it and when it is closed, DSTM won't work.

When I did my dstm testing, I was using flypool - WITH a worker address.

Your problem is NO PASSWORD.
Try adding "--p x" to the end of your command line in the bat file.

You dont need to mention password in the bat file.

I'm using flypool and DSTM.

Your --user should just be your wallet adress, nothing else.

This is my line:
zm --server eu1-zcash.flypool.org --port 3333 --user t1XtiGPVNy8nz9BgxHVj9v2nCoaHe7sqq8U

Then how do i determine the worker name? say i have two rigs: worker1 and worker2
Thanks

Check outgoing and incoming traffic through your router. Im using EU Flypool with no problems at all. There are more users here that uses Flypool.

The problem is not "not having a password"

I run fly-pool with no password. no problem. I have the same settings as tropulus (aswell as 3 workers).

What I meant is the traffic for dtsm, a couple pages earlier there was a user with the exact same problem as you. The problem was that he's router ASUS AC-88 something updated the firmware and he needed to give dtsm acccess to internet again.

This is what i have in mine
zm  --server us1-zcash.flypool.org  --port 3333  --user t1SHwi4DJoaCpvPfFmaX8vx7orJo8xufUTL.BigT

The worker names can be anything you want. so long as its just numbers and letters, no special characters or spaces.

Would love a little bit of cosmetic addons.  could you turn the average hash line green and rejected shares to red?(No not a christmas theme.. This just seems to be standard in a lot of miners).   Maybe another color for when we grab a new block to work on?  Like I said, simply cosmetic, but at a glance when I'm running 13 cards through a windows remote desktop it would save me a bit of time.  Thanks again for the great product.  Hope my 2% fee buys you your lambo this year Smiley

As a non cosmetic, I would love to be able to switch between set pools with a button.  Example mining on flypool for zec.. See that diff for zen just went through the floor.  Hit P and I switch pools to suprnova mining zen without having to close the miner and reload for zen.

Question - does anyone have this running stable on any 750ti cards?  I have some running along with 1060's on a mixed rig and it's rebooting after a few minutes with DSTM.  Stable with ewbf.

Apologies if the answer is here - I've looked through the threads and can't find anything clear.
I use GTX 750 since a long time with DSTM : no problems at all (61 sol/s 2.4 sol/W).

GTX 750 and GTX 750ti aren't all that close - 750 was a Kepler card, 750ti was the "baby" of the Pascal line, similar CUDA core count and quite a bit higher clock.

GTX 750 ti should really be mining Monero though, it's a very high efficiency Cryptonight mining card while it's a fairly poor-to-so-so equihash mining card even for the low end.

Thanks for the insght guys!  I might switch these guys over to monero Wink
