Sorry for asking! I did read first post but seem to miss it. Things like this do happen when us people start to get old!

> : indicates that a new job was received
+ : indicates one submitted share
*  : indicates one submitted devfee-share
= : sum of the stats if mining on multiple GPUs

You people really need to read the first post!

Latency is really helpful when “debugging“ stale shares.

What do the + plus signs stand for. And whats the latency for?

Thank you.

Is there anybody on here that can answer some questions? Does DSTM have a API? And how do you view watts for each card and over all total of all cards? And view Invalid Shares for each card, over all total for all cards?

You should read the first post.

Code:
—telemetry=0.0.0.0:2222

Does anyone know how to make it not launch 1bash or anything else special?

I want to use this just as a linux distro that has all the GPU drivers installed, then use my own CUDA programs.

I emptied the contents of 1bash, 2unix and so forth but when it boots it still opens a gnome terminal that spins the CPU 100% trying to relaunch the NVOC scripts.

Does anyone know where the initial call is that linux first runs the first NVOC script on boot?

Anyone know how to access the JSON-RPC server? Not the website but the raw JSON data behind the API

I tried that, not working for me...

My average hashrate behaviour since the 0.5.7 update, on Flypool.

Note: The dip you see at the beginning was because i changed a router so i took the rig offline for about 10 minutes.

--server stratum-zec.antpool.com:8899 --user przester28.1 --pass 123

Should be

Code:
--server stratum-zec.antpool.com --port 8899 --user przester28.1 --pass 123

Notice the --port 8899 argument.

I want o mine zcash on antpool. I have problem to set up. I use simple mining , dstm miner . I use:
--server stratum-zec.antpool.com:8899 --user przester28.1 --pass 123  . what i am doing wrong ?

I understood it for the first time, but thanks for the clarification. in practice it also works, will not the earnings decrease? That's for sure? Thank you

I've been testing 0.5.7 for more than 30 hours now.
It is very stable and I even have a 30% increase in earnings compared to yesterday, but I think this is related to the pool (luck factor, difficulty, etc...)

.
I use flypool and the estimated hashrate reported by the pool is pretty much the same for both versions on my 8 gpu rig.

Same here.

For the people that see different share rate on 0.5.7 vs 0.5.6, since the amount of shares submitted depends on the difficulty, i don't think that is the right metric to look at.

What I get with 0.5.7:

Pretty poor Share-rate!

How about you read just 2 post above yours  Roll Eyes, seriously you are blind or just plain lazy/dumb  Huh

So does 0.5.7 earn no less than 0.5.6? That's for sure? I did not understand why the algorithm changed, which establishes the complexity of the pool?

Lemme give you an analogy with construction workers.

Worker 1 and Worker 2, have the same work speed, same mortars and bricks at their disposal. (hash power and algorithm)

The workmaster (mining pool) tell worker 1 and 2 they have to build walls (shares), but he want worker 1 to build small 10x bricks walls (share difficulty), and worker 2 to build big 100x bricks walls (share difficulty). The workmaster (mining pool) will pay them each time they complete a wall (share) as a basis of 1 bricks = 1$ (share submitting)

So worker 1 working @ 10x bricks per minute will complete a 10x bricks wall per minute, so he will earn 1$ per brick x 10 = 10$ per minute

now

Worker 2 is working @ 10x bricks per minute, and will complete a 100x bricks wall every 10 minutes , so he will earn 1$ per brick x 100 = 100$ every 10 minutes.

And to complete the analogy, if the workmaster monitor the work (pool statistics) and only count by 1 wall (share) achieved, and check the work every 5minutes, worker 1 will have 5x wall (share) done after 5mn where worker 2 will have only 0.5x wall done in the same timeframe. Hence the statistics being somewhat odd on some pools because you would have to wait a long time to get accurate stats with a very slow share submitting

So work speed is the same, earning is the same. Hope you understand better now with this analogy, it's not 100% accurate but you get the gist of it  Grin

In addition, if you want more walls done (share count), you can tell the workmaster (mining pool) to ask you to build 20x bricks wall (difficulty), but not all workmaster (mining pool) will accept or has the setting to do so.

When optimizing for efficiency I seem to get around 362 Sol/s and 2.24 Sol/W, however electricity costs aren't a concern for me at the moment.

Just looking wondering if these numbers seem acceptable for the card, appreciate the help in advance.

If electricity cost isn't an issue, just go for the maximum Sol/s amount, seems pretty good already for this card.

Apologies for being 'that guy' but I'm pretty new to the whole mining thing, just prodding it with my home PC right now to see how various pools and miners work and such.

I browsed through a number of pages on this thread and was unable to find any numbers for a GTX980 4GB (obviously most have moved on to the 10xx series by now). Was wondering if anyone could give some insight on my numbers and if they seem reasonable.
