I joined my first ico thanks to coincapmarket but after that never did the same thing. So ads on cmc can be a magnet for newbies and they are only looking for big investors (even on ethfinex they are asking 5000$ minimum) so not sure it will help them.

Ads on coinmarketcap don't seem to be worth the money to me because a potential investor will be at least a bit techy and most of the tech people tend to use adblockers.

I haven't seen that, i guess it's necessary for any project, no matter how promising may look, to have some advertising. Coinmarketcap it's good but it's not exactly targeting they kind of people interested in the technology but rather speculators.

That is right some project only focus in getting partners. They are silent in social media and marketing campaigns .. you can't ignore eighther of the strategy

All the possiblities need to be tried to make more people aware about the existence of a project. True, any methods can't be ignored if a project want to get the necessary funds as soon as possible.

It is a good time to prepare everything though. But again i don't think any residential investors will go ahead with investing right now.

I disagree. The coding for the good platforms is a race. If you will postpone a good idea, someone else will develope it. Money will always follow a good product anyway. Just think of all the scams that made money during bull run... People are wiser now and tohose investing in the bear market are less likely to be ico flippers that are in to it just a make a quick buck, but for real tech.

That is of course the tricky part: you need to build and to build you need money, but you might not get a lot of money to build if you ICO now....

There is certainly such a thing as a first-mover advantage.

On the other hand you often see the pioneer solve the hard problems and eventually fail while its follower becomes a massive success. Who even knows about the cryptocurrencies before Bitcoin?

but for the progress of the project it is not too difficult if you have to advertise in a place that is often visited by many people because with that people will be interested in this project, need money and time to get better
