Okay guys, after a lot of discussions we decided that in order to get the most out of the facebook campaign we need to have some sort of giveaway. This way we will get a lot of people interested in the coin etc.
So i decided to donate another 2 000 000 coins and start this rolling.

Hello all, our small infopraphic and picture contest is over.

We will use some of the winners + the great ECC videos we have and start the first 10 days of our facebook campaign.
After that we will check the results, discuss them with you all and decide if we wanna continue it.
The first 10 days of the campaign we will be doing posts and boost them with about 10eu/day, this is just about enough to check what results we can get.
I will be donating this from me ( except what is left from the infographic and pic contest ), this will be about 8 milion ECC.
My stash is not that big ( about 120 millions ) so this is a good 7% of it
So anyone who wants to donate some towards the first phase of the campaign is welcome :

A number of coins have dealt with the OpenSSL issue already.
Does it mean that ECC does not need to upgrade the wallet yet ? A number of useful improvements can be made to the wallet at some time in the future.

Here is some more information about the referenced OpenSSL bug from one of the Vertcoin devs. My understanding is that Bitcoin 0.9.0 was especially vulnerable due to the way they implemented SSL via previous the OpenSSL version and that now has been patched in Bitcoin 0.9.1 by using a new OpenSSL library. The Vertcoin dev provides more flavor about what actually is impacted. In addition to the explanation, it provides a link for pool operators to verify if they are vulnerable to the problem. Might be worth for someone in your team to look at it.
