No idea but your upload works great... thx !

see : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2141969

Please note there seems to be 2 distinct blockchains out there. I was mining blocks in the 5000 block region whilst others were mining blocks in the 7000 block region. I've since recompiled it with the checkpoints that have been added at blocks 2500 and 5000 in the most recent git pushes and I now appear to be on the correct blockchain. I lost the few tiny morsals I'd managed to pick up though.  Cry

I'd suggest downloading again. The link is the same, I've merely updated the file to add these 2 checkpoints to make sure you're definitely mining on the correct blockchain.

Blocks: 7915... this should be right ?

Windows User Elacoin Guide

Download
Code:
UNOFFICIAL Windows Client:
https://apps.memopal.com/e/H3GPKRT7
This is unofficial! Run it in a VM or with Sandboxie!

Run. Wait a minute for it to sync.

Create elacoin.conf
Code:
rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=8344
port=7688
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0

Restart elacoind.exe

Aim your cgminer to -o 127.0.0.1:8344 -u user -p pass

No GUI yet. Only daemon.

P.S. enjoy your rejects and orphans.

Bump
Unstable build, possible crash after diff change, but it works. Restart and continue.
Add "--scan-time 1 --queue 0 --expiry 5" to cgminer commandline to decrease rejects.

getnetworkhashps tells you there's almost 13mh/s on this network.

There's a whole lot more than 13MH/sec on the network.  I have that much on the network just from my rigs alone.  I believe elacoind is calculating this from the rate of successfully mined blocks, while the actual total number of blocks mined is much much more (due to excessive orphans).

the getinfo command tells you how many blocks you have and some other stuff

getpeerinfo tells you how many blocks your peers have, though i have more than any in that list now, I'm not sure how accurate it is

getnetworkhashps tells you there's almost 13mh/s on this network.

you can type "elacoin help" for a list of commands and then type "elacoin (command) help) for details on most of them.

You're never 100% sure you've got every block out there.  The QT is just more reassuring about it.

thanks, i know these commands (are like all other forks of bitcoin..)
but i wasn't sure about the info what the latest block is.
so i do a getpeerinfo | grep startingheigh
and look for the highest number and hope that this peer is the highest?

i only get this:

D:\elacoin-master>qmake "USE_UPNP=-" elacoin-qt.pro
Project MESSAGE: Building without UPNP support
The directory name is invalid.
Could not find qmake configuration fileProject MESSAGE: Building with UPNP suppo
rtRemoved plural forms as the target language has less forms.
If this sounds wrong, possibly the target language is not set or recognized.

I've been posting about that problem here. Nobody seems to know the answer.
