It's about time -- All merrit accepted !!!
Just so I understand .... it appears someone forked this coin from scrypt 1024 increasing the n factor and Cryptsy never 'cleared' it or agreed to update so are people still mining on the old chain ?

If they are I think that is the valid chain if the largest exchange that carries the coin is still running old wallets.

Maybe I am wrong and the old chain is stalled at the change block which would mean anyone with coins on cryptsy cannot move them on or off.

I would appreciate if someone would post nodes that are active that allow coins to be sent to/ from cryptsy if there are any.

Also if someone can actually confirm if they are able to move coins at all I would appreciate it.

I was considering buying coins on cryptsy but I don't want to buy coins I can't move off the exchange.
Also if the 'takeover' is not accepted by everyone I would favor the original code as long as it had active nodes.
If need be I can make my own wallet or temporary node but if there are no others to connect to I won't waste my time.

Yes but during this month there obviously were tons of deposits and withdrawals which will be lost, right?

So, what we do now? Create new fork at next week?  Grin It's not problem for us, but if Cryptsy not update again we lost much time.
Is it fair for other ELC members?

Great!

And both of these blockexp show, that Cryptsy is among the greatest holders and working on old blockchain.
Moreover, trade volume on Cryptsy increased last month, all that people are depositing and withdrawing with Cryptsy.

at old blockchain we've got 161466 with diff 47.39, new 161123 with diff 0.12
stats at elc.cryptcoins.net are showing Net Hashrate:   2323.704 MH/s   Pool Hashrate:   160.903 MH/s

So people are mining at the old blockchain also.

Cryptsy IMO will never switch to new one as it will result in a huge mess with depositing/withdrawing people which will actually lose the coins.

It means that we can only fork AFTER we agree with Cryptsy but not before.....

Matory?

My first ticket to Cryptsy about change algo and release new wallet was from 2 sep, Ticket ID - 155978. (new algo change 20 sep).
Then more 10 different tickets about ELC wallet.
But Cryptsy not responded no one!
I think now right way is update Cryptsy wallets. It's will bring minimal loss, Cryptsy hold 243 addresses and have near 169,557 ELC.
We as community must to adhere to the new path, because we have stable wallet, TWO explorers and this actions increase volume! This is in Cryptsy interests too.

Math, we are not losing anything.

Any motion is better than death, so let them try:)
Somebody is already buying at Cryptsy....
I already told the guys at PM that I'm ready to transfer elacoin.cc - it also worth nothing if the coin is abandoned

what we actually need is a working blockexplorer!

weboise is down? hmm, I havent talked to that guy in a while.

well, if its otherwise worth 0, then we can release it i suppose. I mean, its only one more feather in the hat of credibility to have me agree to give up the elacoin github account to you guys for your fork, you didnt NEED it to fork, but i suppose it helps.

is this what we want to do poker? You hold alot more coin than me.
