who is holding EMD now ?
i am holding about 10k+

EMD has a good chance to advance to scarcity and safe hash numbers, the POW reward schedule is pretty smart.
And if this recent pump can bottom out and yet find a solid price stability above the old floor, yeah things look good long term.
 
But my suggestion is keep a low profile for another 2 years.

Things to be done:

- another website
- another exchange listing
- another block explorer

I would say the target investor for the next 2 years are c++ coders, web admins, miners, and rare coin collectors. 

We can push the "Brand" at year4, the goal for 2016-17 is just hold $10k then $25K and trade vol.

once the new wallet is released as per dev's comments then we should push for bittrex and other exchanges.

keep this coin POW and keep reducing the mining rewards, keep it rare and keep it real.
this will be the only coin that would truly become scarce like a precious gem stone that is rare, naturally occurring element of high economic value.

EMD's are valued for their beauty and relative scarcity and only POW with reducing rewards will make this coin shine!!!

just like btc and ltc, "EMD" will one day signify status and wealth.

can't tell if actually alive ... there is no trade activity but it appears fully open and functional.

reason might be wise to have it as a proven exchange just in case cryptsy does some locking of funds.

wouldn't mind if EMD just stays a solid $15-$45k coin for the next 2 years.
i have some 'case use' projects in mind but it might best to just focus on the basics ... block explorers, wallets, exchanges, pools, and price support until the next halving.

BTW... I do not know what became of the wallet file on Mega... I did not remove it, but it is, nonetheless, gone. When the new update is released I will upload it to a few different spots so that it should always be available somewhere.

I'm shooting for the end of the month to release the next update. Could be a bit sooner if all goes well over the next few days. 

I have looked at PoW/PoS hybrids and all seem to experience issues from time to time. I would much rather keep EMD as a proof of work coin. This allows us an easier path to catch up to the current BTC code, which is very solid.

If anyone is interested in PoS, they should stick around. While EMD will remain PoW, there will be something of interest to those who like PoS coming in the near future.

I know that it has been a while since my last update. I'm sorry about that, but my outside ventures have been keeping me tied up for the most part.

Work is still being done on EMD. Unfortunately, my help has kind of disappeared and left it all up to me. That being said, I can handle the coding since I was doing all of the coding before, anyway...

The other members of the dev team were to support and create buzz for EMD, but they really have done nothing. I have reached out to the community a few times to ask for help but there has been, thus far, no response. It seems to me that most of you want a great coin but do not want to involve yourselves in helping to spread the news. We could definitely use some help there...

I have several items planned for EMD. The first being to get a more up to date wallet out. I have this about 90% done. I need to download some new dependencies to the system that I use for coding EMD to create a test wallet and make sure that everything works as intended. Once I am sure that it works correctly, I will release the new wallet and source code.

There will also be a fork in the code to further reduce the mining payout and extend the life of mining EMD for a much longer period. I have included this in the next update, as well. This will make EMD more rare, so that not so much is appearing on the market each day.

When this update is completed there will be another announcement about EMZ. It has evolved somewhat since I originally came up with the idea. When EMZ is fully implemented we will have a true crypto-currency and not just another alt-coin.

The concept behind EMZ will allow for easier integration into payment systems that already accept BTC and will also remove more of the liquid EMD from the market, making it even rarer and more valuable. The wallet that will be necessary to support this new concept (when completed) will be quite complicated and require a lot of custom coding. This is not something that we can copy and paste from some other coin, although I am sure it will be copied by others once proven successful.

stop saying no active dev no active dev!

the dev will be around...they are known to go dormant for long periods at the time but the coin is working fine without them.

they left the code in good shape and there is no need for bullshit ANN's and pump/dump.

The market is setting the price for this amazing GEM stone!!
It is still very under valued!!! it should be worth more then DMD and RBY anyday....

I mean DMD is inflated POS shit coin and they keep pumping and dumping that shit.....this is not the case with EMD!

Remember guys....block halving coming again in 5-6 months or so.....keep your RARE EMD or be sorry forever......

Good jokes are gems. A good idea (EMD) is hard to come by. I couldn't give them to someone else, even for money. It just wouldn't seem right.
