An Important Note About the Enigma Whitelist

Hello Everyone, This is for those who still has questions about Enigma Whitelist. Well, This is how the whitelist works.

The whitelist was a Google form we sent out to our Slack and Telegram communities. It was pinned to our channels and advertised daily. It closed on August 20th. The whitelist guarantees crowdsale participation.

The token sale website registration was NOT the whitelist. That was solely to register interest in the token sale.

You do NOT need to be whitelisted to participate in the crowdsale. We will not sell out during the whitelist window due to the individual caps. Though the whitelist is closed, please continue to sign up for the token sale through our website - token.enigma.co.

The form itself:
-email
-name and surname
-amount you want to spend

That's it? I fill this and then just wait?

Thanks for your response. I understand what happened, but I think we disagree on where the line is drawn for being part of the community. It seems your team decided people who signed up for slack were entitled to news of a whitelist, while people who opted into your email list that promised "updates", were not (I consider news of a whitelist an important update!). A lot of people don't like slack, due to the amount of trolling/shilling/FUD and other irrelevant info posted there. That doesn't mean we aren't interested in being part of the community. Not sure why one channel received preference over another.

Totally agree. Many people, who wants to participate in this ICO (including me), don't use slack. Thank you man, now I even know about it.

P.S.
I suppose people who are not at whitelist won't be able to participate at ICO at all due to small 10m ICO hard cap?

the ico on the official enigma site instead, how will it be done? (With registration with civic app like 0x project or with other methodologies?) ... I read that I will be able to participate with both BTC and ETH?

I signed up for email updates on your website two or three weeks ago, and haven't seen any emails, and particularly haven't seen one that references the existence of a whitelist application. I've checked all my folders. Was this particular to me, others experienced this? Is it still possible for someone on your team to reference the time I (and others?) first submitted my email address on your website, so that I/we may be whitelisted? Obviously when we signed up for updates, this is exactly the kind of information we expected to see.

Hello @Elevated. The Enigma team usually sends out periodic newsletter. The announcement above particularly address questions asked by members of the Enigma community. Right now, The details of the upcoming Enigma token sale (Max investment cap by person, etc) is still being finalized.

Once this is completed, A detailed post will be published and newsletter sent out. In the mean time, You should join the Enigma Telegram Announcement Channel here: http://t.me/enigmacatalystann

Have the money received by the fraudsters been returned. If it returns it will be with money or tokens. It would be best if investors were given back from the perspective of the project

Important Update regarding Enigma Token Sale Whitelist

We just sent an email to contributors whitelisted for our token sale. Please check all your inboxes and read for further instructions. If you're yet to receive the email,  Please be patient, as emails may take some time to arrive. Remember to check all your inboxes, and spam just in case.

Note: The confirmation link is being shared publicly, an important reminder - If you fill out the whitelist confirmation form but you didn't receive the initial email or signed up for the whitelist,  *you're NOT on the whitelist.*

For the whitelist reconfirmation, you do not have to put the @ sign in front of your usernames, but it is OK if you do so.  Remember - you need to set up your Telegram username in settings. It is NOT your display name.

More information for our waitlisted contributors will be coming in the following days as the whitelist is confirmed. Stay Stuned.

We will NOT sell out our crowdsale during the initial whitelist window. We are purposely capping individual whitelist contributions to ensure this does not occur. So If you're not on the Whitelist, You'll still get a chance to participate.

Important updates about the Enigma whitelist:

After many conversations with our community and our token sale partners, we have determined that there will be dynamic individual caps for our existing whitelist *based on time of registration.* While we are still determining the individual caps, we can say for certain that the maximum individual cap for the crowd sale would be less than $10,000 USD.

What does this mean?

- For each email address, we will look at the timestamp of your first submission to our whitelist. We will then use the most recent Slack and Telegram info you provided to verify your community account.
- This means if you submitted your whitelist application multiple times, you do not need to worry. You will keep your priority from your first submission.

Why did we decide this?

From the beginning, Enigma has had two primary goals: building a strong, committed community and holding a broad, fair, healthy crowd sale. This is the fairest model we have been able to determine for rewarding our committed community while maintaining broad participation. We’ve used other successful token sales, such as 0x, as a model in determining how to handle our crowd sale and whitelist.

What next?

There is nothing you need to do at this time. Enigma will reach out this week (but NOT today) to individuals who have been whitelisted. These individuals will then be asked to reconfirm their interest and will be informed of their individual cap. We will announce across all channels when we have sent this communication. After whitelisted individuals confirm their interest, we may upgrade members of the waitlist to the whitelist.

Remember, you do not need to be whitelisted to participate in our crowd sale. After the whitelist participation window closes, the Enigma token sale will be open to all. There will still be ENG tokens available after the whitelist window.

Thanks for your patience, and please await more communications later this week.

Crypto-currencies are rigidly subject to manipulation and I do not see any ways to profitably trade them without insider trading.

it is the way it always was. but this time in this project they are giving your money to people who were stupid enough to get scammed. thats definitely new. all the thing we were always talking about NOT to bail out bad actors is happening here, to keep the "things" and people having their false American smile. Welcome mainstream!

Question to the team: are you going to take the half million ($500k) out of your personal pocket or investors money?

Just fill out the SEC complainant form https://denebleo.sec.gov about probably Unregistered securities offering and in the event of previous events misusing investors money. The logic is, that investors funds have been given away as incents to potential investors, probably to us residents, what was not agreed before the initial coin (securities) offering. Before i invested, there was no information about any funds will be given away to potential investors or bailing out any loss of funds by potential investors.

Its not written or mentioned anywhere in the prospect, that funds collected from investors for marketing, development, legal, operations after the pre-sale, or before the sale of the coins (securities), nor after the sale of the coins (securities), after the phase of collecting funds from investors, will be used for compensating potential investors for lose of any funds during the pre-sale, sale. There is nowhere mentioned to return funds, potential investors may be losing because of tried participation on the sale of the coins.

If there would be mentioned that this coin sale will ensure refunding potential investors funds, who lost it in the process of the ICO, I would make other decision. I do hope the SEC sees the use of investors funds for giving away money to potential investors, without writing it explicit to the rules of this ICO.

Ethically, it is the right thing to do to give money back. This is because people didn't just get scammed, the website and the slack were compromised and investors who lost money thought it was the team who was emailing them.

Anyway, I don't know about the SEC, Im not from the US but I guess you could argue that funds that will be refunded can come from funds allocated for "legal operations" as stated in the whitepaper or from the team management fees.

In any case, I think this will definitely help the project and the community regain trust.
