I think the marketing team was far ahead of the development and it amounted to hype and didn't help. That's not a knock of the marketing team. Not a knock of the devs, but something to consider. Consider not marketing something if you don't have something to back it up, which I think was part of the problem the first 11 months of 2017.

A very valid point. Too many times I have observed this in various projects. Either the marketing is way ahead of the product, or vise versa. People have to plan things...

Look at SONM - a sleeping giant, the product is under heavy development and it is receiving constant updates and it is only using organic marketing and regular communication on all available channels. When the product will be released, then the marketing strategy will change drastically to raise awareness.

Are there any updates about the progress for POS fix? Waiting now since the beginning of November for the fix, and havent received any stake since then.
So some updates would be appreciated!

Couple of thoughts. When ESP first came out, and I am very appreciative of the airdrop as it was one of the best in history. So let me start with that. I have hope for ESP.
I was thrilled at the ease of use and the ONLY wallet that was capable of mining with a punch of the button.

In my honest opinion, the ease of use and the wallets went down hill, namely because they were broken. As a coin holder it wasn't worth the risk of tinkering with this or that to only get to something that was broken. I tried again a few times, didn't work. Again, still not worth tinkering with it.

I get my updates from the forums and this isn't trending well.

I have hopes for January 1, 2018. I don't have much confidence beyond that point.
If I read that the roadmap is being met or the wallet actually works with a punch of the button, great, that changes things.

But at the bare minimum get back to that first wallet that worked. I don't want to say that the project has gone downhill since then as that is not fair for the efforts of the devs or the community. But at least the wallet worked.

End the confusion of patches that never work. End the plethora of updated wallets. Come out of the shoot on January 1 with one that works, or this coin will see .1 satoshi

Consider not marketing something if you don't have something to back it up, which I think was part of the problem the first 11 months of 2017.

Again, let me beat this in your head....the first wallet, the one that worked, the one with push of a button mining....go back to that one. It was better that way.

Yes, it is working well. The volume is still so low though. How about trying to list this at Cryptopia? So traders will have another option.

Another thing. Aren't the staking giving too high rewards? I am just curious because it also means unlimited dumps unless they see another reason to buy more or hold.

1. Cryptopia devs don't like Cryptocoderz. So it's probably not going to happen.

2. Staking doesn't work right now, if you are getting rewards you are probably on the wrong chain. See https://github.com/bitcoinx2/Espers/wiki/FAQ . Apart from that, 25% per year is relatively high, but it has the reason to make people support the network. If you are getting the 25% per year through staking, you won't make any losses if the price reduces by 25%. So it's just a question of how many coins exist in total, it doesn't affect the overall value.

ESP, the price of this coin can be said to be at a low ebb now. A favorite friend can choose to get on the train. Once it develops rapidly, you will never get it at the current price. Kiss

Everybody, now that Novaexchange has closed deposits, you can still sell your ESP on Livecoin for ETH:

https://www.livecoin.net/en/trade/index?currencyPair=ESP%2FETH

There is an active market here with quite some buy orders.  Cool

(I haven't checked that Livecoin is on the right chain though ... please confirm if ESP deposits work!)
Deposits work !

Espers summary:

-Developer disappeared for months
-Team members are leaving, the active team members get kicked out for no reason
-Came back, promised he had all the fixes, would take a week to be rolled out
-Never implemented the updates
-Turns out the dev owns billions of ESP2, between 10 and 50% of the total supply - reason why it never got listed on Bittrex
-Community mad
-Disappears again
-Releases a fix that completely destabilizes the blockchain
-People are on different chains
-''Fix'' has been brought out - still doesn't work for a lot of people
-Gawlea deletes Espers twitter
-In december you will be able to swap your ESP2 for Wispr.

Now I know this topic consists of a bunch of yes men and sheep. But if you still cannot comprehend that this will go absolutely nowhere, you are pathetic. The developer has been kicked out of the INSN team as well (you can check this for yourself, go to their website).

Most of you here are supporting the dev out of complete despair, but the fact remains that he is shady.

Why would you swap the coins?

what has happened to the network. i am staking with 29 millions espers and i get 0.01 espers in reward. really that is ridicolous little amount.
POS as well as POW is broken, dev told community 3 weeks ago he is working to fix this while he fixed blockchain issues, enabled transfer between all listed exchanges + livecoin added espers. As for today, coins are moving well, exchanges listed at coinmarketcap are ok with deposits & withdrawals. traders are not active this time , once everything will be fixed we'll see the other side of this coin imo. hoDL

p.s. Coingather.com seems like gathered all users coins at last & gone (espers were listed here too)

I dont feel i gain profit in my ESP anymore, with the continuing rise of Bitcoin, ESP will surely go down below 1 satoshi or even be pair with Eth.
The development must be put into action before this die.

Good news is... ESP is one of these rare coins whose value remains stable even when BTC runs!

LMAO stable at 1 satoshi

The price is now very cheap, the opportunity is only once, after it has gone up, you can never buy for a price 1 . Development plan has come very close, the growth will also increase rapidly

Whats happening with ESP, ive been away for a while..its under 1 sat now?!

The problem is that Cryptocoderz has become largely inactive and is rarely seen, even though he claims that he is still working on it. And there are problems in the network (outdated nodes), therefore we have syncing problems, and PoS is broken for many people since the last update on Nov 1st.
